This will be a male reader insert. This is the story of a young man who's life was ordinary & boring in his previous life, until a school trip to a lab changed everything. This is my first Wattpad story, so bare with me.
Y/n's Pov: It's hard to believe that it's been 3 weeks already since I enrolled here at Monster High as a "Mutant", since for now, I need to keep my identity as Spider-Shadow a secret from everyone here, especially that ghost writer named Spectra Vondergeist for the school blog "The Ghostly Gossip" since she'll do anything to get a "juicy" story. Good thing i also got Logan's heightened sense of smell as well to keep me alert, & also my spider sense for emergencies only. Well anyway, life here is sure never dull unlike my school back home, since a few students would tease Manny Taur by waving a piece of red cloth & he'd charge making him chase them, so note to self; try not to wear much red clothing as possible around Manny. Heath Burns is a major hothead since he can't go through a whole day without setting something on fire, but still, he means well so he's okay. Deuce Gorgan always wears those sunglasses to prevent him from turning anyone he sees to stone by accident unless he wants to, however, there are those who're immune to his power, like beings who're already made of living stone, & me because of Logan's healing factor, & man was he ever surprised by this despite the effects of his powers were temporary, so he & i became good friends because of that. Gil Webber- which i found out his real 1st name is Gillington -is a fresh water monster in love with a salt water monster named Lagoona Blue, but his parents don't approve their relationship 'cause of their families history feuding with each other, but her parents approve at least, so I'm sure they'll work it out eventually & I'll be there to help anyway I can, so Gil is greatful for that. Then there's Clawd Wolf, Clawdeen's brother, captain of the casketball & Scream teams & coach of the Scream team as well, he & I actually hit it off pretty easily & became friends just as quickly, & I found out he's dating the rare vegan vampire Draculaura in which who's birthday is coming up in a few days which also happens to be Valentine's Day, & that's a lot of pressure for Clawd, so me & the guys & the ghouls of course are gonna help him out in any way we can!
So anyway, Clawd messed up a couple times with a couple gift ideas, & Clawdeen, Cleo & Frankie went to the girls restroom to help calm Draculaura down, but not without Clawdeen bapping Clawd on the nose with a rolled up magazine a couple times each responding with a single simple "ouch". So, I was minding my own business as I walked past the girls restroom, then at that moment, the ability of super enhanced hearing kicked in & I heard the ghouls voices from the other side of the wall separating the hall from the girls restroom. So I listened in on their conversation & I also heard Draculaura's story about her birthday involving her & this vampire guy named Kieran Valentine who created the holiday for her on her birthday.

Anyway, the next couple days have been like totally crazy. 1st, that Valentine guy came to our school which is very suspicious,

& 2nd, Draculaura broke up with Clawd to be with that jerk Val & from the look in her eyes, she looked like she was in a trance. So I decided to investigate, & I found Valentine with that cat Toralei Stripe, so I turned invisible & used my new enhanced hearing to listen in what they're saying. Turns out, Valentine used some hypotic power on Draculaura so when her heart is full of love, he'll "harvest" it to complete his "collection" whatever that meant. However, he has to do it by her birthday or the spell on her will be permanent, & be unable to love anyone ever again, even Val doesn't want that to happen. Well, at least he's not completely bad, & I also found out this whole thing is really revenge for Toralei for not being invited to Draculaura's birthday party. & i saw a Icoffin phone by their feet, that told me Spectra was recording their conversation, so that means she'll tell the ghouls & Clawd about this.
