"What were you thinking Layla?" My father asked with a calm face. But behind his mask, I knew that he was psychotic with rage.
My mother sat on his lap. Compared to his tall frame, my mother looked like a delicate, life size doll.

She nervously fumbled with her gold koala necklace.

Aramis was behind me. I used my body as a shield; just incase my dad decided to strike. My mother made sure to keep her legs intertwined around dad's. That way she could slow him down in case he made any sudden movements.

My dad's scythe appeared in his hand. His black cloak stretched over his clothes. The hood crawled up his head like a calm spider.

"Holy shít, your dad--he's the..."

"Yeah I know." I cut Aramis off.
I was irritated, annoyed, and upset with everyone in the room. I was mostly angry at myself. How could I have been so stupid. I knew I shouldn't have been alone with Aramis.

He makes my body do all sorts of crazy things when he's around.
My mind can't focus. My mouth gets all cotton mouth. My hands sweat. I'm a completely different person when I'm near him.

And I liked it.

"Sleep." my father said.

There was a loud thump behind me and I saw Aramis body drop beside me.

I knelt down beside him and brushed his hair away from his eyes. He was out cold.

"Dad, wake him up now!" I shriek.

"No, I need a R.I.P. Spree. I haven't done that in a while." my dad said in a deep grumpy voice.

An R.I.P spree is basically his way of saying a killing spree.

Making Aramis go to sleep was dads way of trying to punish me. Only he could wake him back up. Aramis could be asleep for weeks, months, years. Maybe even for an eternity.

"I'll be out." my dad says. In a puff of smoke he was gone. My mom rubbed her temples in deep thought. I stared at Aramis lifeless body.

If I didn't have this damn cloak on, I could break this sleeping spell.

Off in the distance was a loud car crash.
A big explosions lit up the sky.

"Fück, Devlin. What are you doing?" My mother jolts up. Her beautiful, fluffy, white wings, pop out.

They seemed to give off their own glow. Flecks of tiny sparkles radiated off her caramel skin. Her faded blue eyes also glowed. Her leggings and over sized green sweater transforms into a long white gown.
It fluttered around her body, as if a soft breeze were catching it.

"Maybe if I go talk to him, he'll calm down. I'll see if he'll wake Aramis. But I have to ask. Did you at least use a c-con..."

"Mom just go!" I yell. My cheeks flushed bright red like a stop sign.

She sighs and steps outside. She took one more glance at me before she leaped off the ledge.
She fell backwards off the balcony and shoot up like a rocket. Then speed off in the direction of my dramatic father.

Aramis loud snores made me groan in frustration. He sounded like a troll.

I have to get him to the bed.
