(The picture of this chapter captures exactly how Layla-Fia's powers are being caged in. It allows you to see her looking up to an unknown bright light and her posture shows that she wants to go to it, yet the chains won't allow her to reach what lies ahead. )

My body came crashing down to the ground like a comet. I easily landed with perfect grace. A small crack formed in the ground from my impact. I could feel my muscles absorb the shock. It tickled as it traveled up my leg. Lying beside me was a lifeless male. Long strands of his sweaty hair stuck to his beautiful face. My heart rate accelerated as my strong eyes took in his features in wonder. He was probably the most fascinating being I have ever seen. My gaze fell upon a few serious burn wounds. My breath hitched in my throat at the thought of someone harming him. At that moment a mob of unfamiliar people rushed over to me. They kept calling me Layla-fia. Startled, I raised my hand up for protection. Power flowed through my fingers. I had to keep them away from him.

He was mine!

They ran smack into an invisible force field I created. A woman, with golden brown skin that seemed to give off its own unnatural glow, placed her hand against the force field. She looked so sad. Why was she so sad? I didn't like this.

Beside her was a tall dark figure. Their face was hidden in the deep shadows of their black cloak. They seemed so familiar to me. Surrounding them were people of different shapes and sizes, all wielding a unique weapon in hand.

"Now would you look at that. Her aura is magnificent! Such power, It's almost unreal." Barks a dark amused voice. I growled at the sound of it.

A greened eyed old man stood beside a young male. He too shared the same green eyes of the old man. The lifeless male stirred below me and let out a weak groan. I quickly drop to the ground beside the beautiful male to inspect him. His wounds were now a tad smaller than what they were before. Cautiously, I placed my head on his chest to listen to his breathing. His heartbeat had a strange rhythm to it. It was quite comforting to listen to.

"Layla- Fia put down your force field. We won't harm you." the cloak figure spoke. Or at least I think he did. I couldn't tell. The sad woman stepped closer. I hissed while drawing the motionless male closer to me. They had to stay away. He was important to me. I didn't know how or why, I just knew.

The green eyed man with the dark voice slowly stalked over to me. His gold caine caught my attention. A goat with long horns curled around his boney fingers. The red jewels were the eyes of the gold goat. It seemed to glow with life. With a swift wave of his free hand, everyone was lifted up into the air. "You stay away from her!" the sad lady shouts. A tear dropped from one of her pale blue eyes splashed to the ground. She struggled to free herself along with the others. I cocked my head to the side not saying a word as I read the old man's aura. It was probably the strongest and darkest one I had ever seen. And his soul was black as ink. Nothing about him was trustworthy. Still, there was something appealing to me about the young male beside him.

The male in my arms began to stir. He was in a great deal of pain. I could feel it through an unknown connection. I placed my head on his chest, listening to his heart. It was strong and steady, it sent a calming feeling to me. I was happy that he was okay. But why did he not wake up? I pulled away from his chest and placed my hand over his body, searching for the source. I went through his memories, hoping to find a clue. What I saw was a girl who looked strangely like me. They shared some really intimate moments that sent me heart into a pool of hatred. What did she have that I didn't? My anger suddenly faded when i saw the same girl become surrounded by white enchanted flames. The girls hair turned white as snow and her eyes blazed as bright as the sun. The girl was me.

A huge wolf jumped through the flames and instantly changed into the male before me. He was stupid for doing such a thing. Those white flames are no ordinary flame. It will strip you of any magic bound to you. Then burn your body from within. Killing you straight to the core of the heart tell there's nothing left.

"There's still enough time to save him deary." the old man says. My head snaps in his direction. "How?" my voice was strange. It sounded too crisp and clear to be my own. "That can only be made if you take my offer." he says with a sly smile.

"Tell me, now." my voice quickly changed pitches to a deeper menacing tone. "Wow, you even have your siren succubus abilities, but using your voice won't control me my dear." he wags his finger at me as if he were scolding a small child. "The others above shouted at him to be released. "Don't do it Layla. You can't trust that slimy snake! He's..." someone shouted but was cut off by the old man as he did a the motion of a music instructor for silence. The loud commotion above us finally stopped. "Ah, that's better, now back to what I was saying. Oh yes, our deal." he smiles sweetly.

The male began to burn up in my arms. It was already happening. Beads of sweat formed over his brow.

"Once I tell you how to break the white- scorch spell, you must give me your hand in marriage. Bounding your soul to mine, till death do us part." he flashes his jagged sharp teeth at me. Chills traveled up my spine.

"And what do you gain in this?" Even though I knew I had little time to save the male, My curiosity got the best of me. His smile vanishes and a cold blank expression was the on;y thing left on his face as he calmly says, "For your power of course. With you as my queen, I-- We will be unstoppable." bright flames blazed in his eyes at the thought. His words peaked an interest to a place within the deepest and darkest place of my body. "Fine." I said with no hesitation.

"Good girl." his smile returns. "Now how do I save him?" I ask.

"True loves kiss of course. In this state he is at his weakest. Any magic bound to his soul has been stripped away for the time being unless the spell is broken. Kind of cliche if you ask me. But I don't make the rules for magic." he adds with a yawn. At his words my memories filled my head like a rush of air. It sucked my breath away, until my mind finally stopped spinning around familiar faces.

Tata, Momma...

Aramis.

It all made sense now. This was my fault. How could I be so careless?

If what the Lucifer said was true about aramis being stripped of all magic, then his wolf curse must be dormant right now. and if the curse is gone, then his wolf instincts must be gone as well. Like his mating urges.

And if that's gone...

What if...

What if he truly doesn't love me?

No... I couldn't let myself think like that. I had to try.

I cupped his burning chin in my cool hands. "Don't you dare leave me now you idiot." I whisper through the lump forming in my throat. My lips gently pressed against his burning mouth. I pulled away and waited for a reaction. Anything...

Yet there was nothing.

Not even a twitch.

He didnt wake up.
