February 27, 2019Zyra's POV:
"I'm surprised that you insisted meeting me, Miss Villamor." Detective Joaquintos sat on the chair and scattered files on the tables.
"Are you okay now? Wala ka nang nurse ngayon, ah." I tried my best not to look at him, "Can we just proceed, detective? I really am not here for chitchats."
After a couple of minutes, he constantly asked questions.
"Okay. So far, it is clearly February 7th. Grand Blueview, Taguig." He stated, taking down notes. "I am surprised na hindi ka na sumisigaw ngayon, Miss Villamor."
Hindi ko na napigilang kumunot ang noo. Nang-aasar ba ang matandang 'to? Nakakainis na siya ah.
"So Miss Villamor, nagbackground check kami sainyo ng mga kaibigan mo, pero pwede bang sayo manggaling kung what's your relationship with all of the deceased victims?"
I did not hesitated at tuloy tuloy na sinabi na, "They are my friends. Best friends. We even call ourselves OnZe."
"Pwede bang mas malinaw na explanation? Be specific." He sighed. "Let's start with Victoria Lozano."
I stopped for awhile. Deep inside, I really don't want to talk because I really know this will cause me trauma but...this is the least I can do for my friends...find and fight for their justice.
"Victoria..." I thought if my friend's face, "She is the oldest among our friend group, sir." I reminded myself of her.
"She's the tallest too. She have a black curly hair, and she have this fiercely funny humor. Mostly tahimik lang siya, but she's very chatty too. My dad was a friend of her father too, more like workmates dati." I explained.
"Yes and Anne Primadrigal?" he asked.
"Anne..." I murmured.
"Si Anne, she is the go to of everyone in our group. Like, she's friendly to everyone causing her to have a lots of friends. She's very reliable and funny. I personally think she is a very loud person." I smiled, thinking of Anne.
"Go on. And Elle Carolina?" he stated.
"Elle," I laughed. "Elle is a funny person, like kahit hindi naman nakakatawa yung ginagawa niya, it's still funny parin. She's the daughter of our teacher too." I smiled to Detective Joaquintos.
"Quite skinny but she's also beautiful, actually. Thought she could look mean, but is actually a very silly person. Also, most of the guys befriend with us, Sir. And alam mo kung bakit?" I laughed. "To get with her!"
"Yeah, Lhynn Castillio?"
"Si Lhynn, she is a very mean person, sa totoo lang." Napangiti ako. "I remember her badmouthing almost every girl in our class. She's quite funny din naman and maganda. She and Ceelyn are like the same, mas masungit nga lang si Lhynn." I laughed. "Oh and she's actually the heiress of the Castillio Agencies."
"Yes, I've heard about her dad's agency. Kaylee Guanzon?" Sabi ni Sir habang tumatango.
"Kaylee is a very interesting person to be with, Sir. She likes playing instruments and singing. Pero most of the time, she's just quiet and shy. Oh and did I mentioned? Sobrang bait niya as in. You wouldn't even hear a single curse coming from her mouth. And I think, out of all of us, she's the genius. She's rich too. Henry Sy is her uncle."
"And Athena Flores?"
"Ohh, Athena. She also have this curly hair and by far most of the time, tahimik lang din. But syempre, minsan maingay din, ofcourse. Athena is friendly and is actually my 2nd cousin." I stated.
"Armie Celestia?"
"Armie...she really doesn't talk much, but she's quite fierce too. She have a lot of talents, I envy her. She loves sports like me, and recently their team won the championship and we celebrated their won! Natalo niya nga yung team namin eh."
"Yes, and Rei Garcia?" he asks habang nag-tatake down ng notes.
"Rei. God, she's the most chatty among us. She likes joking around and actually siya yung powerhouse namin, if that even is a thing. Mabait din and almost is selfless. She'll always have your back, Det." I laughed and looked him.
"And you kno—" I looked at Sir...with a faint look at his face making me stop.
"Haha, bakit Sir?" My smile slowly faded. Bakit mukha siyang malungkot?
"Uh you are aware that...they..." He gulped and gestured a straight line on his neck, "Right?"
"Oh." Mabilis na napawi ang mga ngiti sa labi ko.
...
I weakly stared at him. "Yes...that...they're..." I took a sigh, "dead." I broke our eye contact.
"Pasensya na, Miss Villamor." he stared at me. "Masayang masaya ka habang kini-kwentuhan mo ako tungkol sa mga kaibigan mo...but this is the reality. They're...gone."
"Let's take a minute break muna. Get fresh air." Clinip niya ang mga papel sa isa at nilimis ang mga ito. "Be back before 2pm."
Tumayo si Detective Joaquintos as he pat my shoulder. "You ten are really are best friends. Condolence." He said before leaving the room.
I stared blankly at the table.
Maybe Detective Joaquintos sensed na I'm forgetting the reality for a sec there.
Napahilamos na lang ako sa mukha ko at nagulat ng may basa rito. It was a tear.
"Hindi ko parin tanggap, OnZe." I sadly said to the air.
