Hi everyone. So before this one-shot starts, I want to make it clear that this takes place a couple months after the finales. They are still in school but all the bad stuff isn't happening anymore. Just letting y'all know. Now enjoy the adorable gayness!!!!

3rd person pov:

Artemis woke up in tears. He had a nightmare about his parents. He couldn't see there faces but they were screaming at him. Telling him they were glad they left him at the orphanage.

He knew that it wasn't real but he couldn't stop thinking about it.

He decided to go get a glass of water, however while walking to his door, he bumped into something. It made a thump when it fell and Artemis immediately stopped. Deciding he didn't want to wake anyone up, he went back to bed.

However, despite trying to fall asleep, he couldn't. His mind kept drifting back to the nightmare. It brought tears to his eyes again.

Meanwhile

Shino woke up because he heard a thump from up stairs. It took a minute for it to register, but he remembered that Artemis was up stairs.

Just to make sure his boyfriend was okay, Shino quietly got out of bed and went up stairs. He saw nothing in the kitchen, and so he went up to Artemis's room.

When Shino went into Arti's room it was dark, so he couldn't see anything. However he could hear crying.

Shino took out his phone and turned the flashlight on it, on. Just to see Artemis crying.

At the sudden light in the room Artemis looked up. He quickly tried to wipe his tears away.

A - oh ummm. H-hi Shino.

S - Arti, why were you crying?

A - crying? I wasn't crying. Heh.

S - Arti. You know you can talk to me.

A - j-just a n-nightmare.

Quietly, Shino turned the room light on, turned his flashlight off, walked over to Artemis, and sat down on the bed. He then pulled Artemis into a tight, and loving hug.

Artemis was trying to hold in his tears, but Shino could see right through his act.

S - it's okay Arti. Let it all out.

And with that Artemis broke. For the next few minutes they just sat there. Artemis crying into Shino's shoulder, and Shino comforting him.

S - do you wanna talk about it?

Artemis just shook his head no.

For about a half hour Shino stayed with Artemis. They were mostly silent just a few sniffles here and there.

A - okay. I-i think I'm alright now.

S - okay. Goodnight Artemis.

Artemis layed back down ready to go to sleep.

Shino kissed Artemis's head and got up. He was about to walk out the door so they could both go back to sleep, but Artemis grabbed his arm.

A - wait! C-can you stay?

Shino smiled, he quickly flipped the light switch and then went over to the bed. He layed down next to artemis and kissed him on the forehead.

S - if you want me to.

With that they both closed there eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

And let's just say there was a lot of explaining done to Rikku the next morning, on why they were sleeping in the same bed. Obviously though, being the amazing girl that she is, Rikku got pictures before they both woke up.
