3rd PoV

a four year old Izuku Midoriya commonly nicknamed, "Egao" by his mother felt his heart drop. he was a late bloomer which meant they wouldn't know his quirk for a while.

he knew he could be more unfortunate though and stood up, allowing his mother to drag the boy to her car. he was thankful for her despite the neglect she'd put him through. He was also thankful for having a quirk.

He was going to make the most of this.

Muttering curses at the doctor, Inko Midoriya threw open her car door and threw Mido in, Mido was used to this treatment and just hurriedly sat himself upright as Inko climbed into the drivers seat in the front.

the long time they sat in the parking lot was silent... almost a nice silent if Mido hadn't known what was waiting for him at home. Mido had been quite used to this though and smiled at Inko through the mirror.

Inko paused, brainwashing effect washing off as she smiled back and said, "I know I'm not good at showing it... but i love you Egao." Mido's toothy smile widened as he spoke, "I know, I blame father. Not you. he forces you."

Inko gave another small sympathetic smile while tearing up, before snapping her focus back to pulling out of the parking lot.

as she drove home from the hospital, she turned the radio on. Mido laughed at some of the commentary; he hummed along to the songs he didn't know the words too while singing to the ones he did.

Then a certain song came on.. an American one by the artist Billie Elish, translated to Japanese by XXXXXXXXX.

Mido yelped in joy, Inko giggling at her sons antics before returning to a neutral face. Mido began singing along to the song softly.

"Take me... to the rooftop. I wanna see the world when i stop breathing~" Izu added a riff to the last word; he had an amazing lung capacity and thought that the song would sound better like that.

"Turning blue," Mido continued, "Tell me, love is endless?" Inko jumped in as she knew the song quite well, "Don't be so pretentious..."

Mido sang softly, "Leave me like you do..." Inko went with the backup singing and sang, "Like you do~"

Mido continued off of Inko, "If you need me~ wanna see me? Better hurry..." Inko started singing again with Mido, "'Cause I'm leaving soon..." Inko let Mido sing by himself at this part.

"Sorry can't save me now..." Zuzu sang.

(M-Mido I-Inko I&M-Inko and Mido)

M: "Sorry i don't know how...~ Sorry there's no way out~"

I: "Sorry"

I&M: "But down~"

I: "Hmm, down..."

M: "Taste me, the salty tears on my cheek"

I&M: "That's what a year king headache... does to you"

I: "I'm not ok, I feel so scattered"

I&M: "Don't say I'm that matters"

M: "Leave me... déjà vu"

I: "Hmm"

Inko had begun crying as the song was getting very relatable and personal.

Izu, who had climbed up to the passengers seat, pointed at a rest stop and suggested they stopped there so he could comfort her.
