Chapter 4: Cuz I Just Wrote Your New Favorite Song

~Haley POV~

"Alex, what are you doing here?" I asked. He kept smiling at me like an idiot. His face quickly fell when he read the expression on my face, his smile faultered. He looked down at the water, playing with his hands.

"I came to see you. I thought that if I came here, you would take me back since we weren't so far away." he gave me small smile, hope in his eyes. I smiled a little. I felt hands on my waist. When I turned to find Ross.

"Who's that?" he asked. He looked.... jealous? Why in the potato would he be jealous? I offered him a small smile.

"This is my.... friend, Alex." I stumbled over the word "friend". I think that's what I should call him anyways. Ross dropped his hands off my waist. They hung loosely at his sides.

"Oohh.... okay. I won't bother you guys then." he barely whispered with a sad smile. WHAT THE HECK IS WITH HIM? I'm so confuzzled right now. He turned and swam over to play catch with Rocky and Rydel.

"So... this visit didn't change anything, did it?" he asked, his eyes glimmered with one last sliver of hope. I shook my head slowly. His face fell as he sighed and swam over to a boat full of people.

I sighed and went play catch with Ross, Rydel, and Rocky. Ross waded over to me after seeing my sad smile. He smiled like an idiot. What the heck is he thinking about?

"Why are you so happy?" I questioned him as he lowered himself down to my height. Next thing I knew, his hands were around my hips, lifting me up on his shoulders. Rydel, Rocky, Riker, and I erupted into laughter. I adjusted myself on his shoulders. He grabbed my ankles and when I got my balance I stopped laughing.

"ONWARD TO NARNIA!!!" I screamed which only made everyone laugh harder. Ross smiled up at me and then went underwater, pulling me down with him. We both opened our eyes and started making funny faces and weird noises to each other. Once we resurfaced, we found Rocky, Riker, Rydel, and Ratliff, who had just gotten in, staring at us. Ross wiggled his eyebrows at me then flexed his arms.

"Sorry you guys had to see our makeout session. I agree, it was totally inappropriate. She came onto me..... But what are you gonna do?" He shrugged like it was no big deal. Everyone busted out laughing while I flipped Ross off. Rocky went to go get our surfboards.

Once Rocky got back, we all paddled out. Ross and I both spotted the same wave at the same time. I paddled faster to catch it before he could. He saw what I was doing and sped up. I smiled but I got the wave first. He flipped me off. I just smiled and yelled, "I KNOW I'M NUMBER ONE, ROSS! BUT THAT MAKES YOU NUMBER TWO!". I flipped him off with both hands. He laughed at me as Rydel caught a different wave. I decided to show off a bit and hang ten. Riker gave me a high five once I got off. I laughed in Ross' face. He laughed with me. Then we just laughed for like no reason at all. It was pretty awesome.

I waded back to shore and texted Samantha.

Hey babe you still coming to the beach? c;

Yeah be there in a few S. I'm bringing that thing you wanted ;)

I turned to see Ross reading over my shoulder. Really Ross? I gave him an annoyed look.

"What's my surprise?" he asked with a smile. I wiggled my eyebrows at him. He ignored it and sat on me. YOU FRIKITY FRACKITY FATTY!!!!

"ROSS YOU FATTY, GET OFF OF ME BEFORE YOU CUT OFF MY AIRWAYS!!!" I screamed at him. He laughed at me but got up, offering me his hand. I refused it and got up myself. He smiled down at me. I punched him in the arm playfully. He pretended to be in pain.

"IF THESE BE MY LAST WORDS, I JUST WANT HALEY TO KNOW I LOVE HER!!!!" he pretended to die. He opened one eye to peek at me, a smile playing on his lips. I rolled my eyes and went to see if Samantha was here yet.

"HALEYYYYY!" Samantha screamed. She ran up and tackled me into the sand. I laughed and gave her a hug. She had dropped her bag on the way over. I picked it up and lead her to our spot. She let out a small giggle when she saw Rocky. I elbowed her but he winked at her anyways. She was blushing like crazy right now. Like a tomato. Rocky just laughed it off.

"Guys, this is Samantha. Samantha, this is Riker, Ross, Rocky, Rydel, Ratliff, and last but not least, Ryland." I introduced them to her. They all smiled. I looked at Samantha with the same look she was giving me. She reached into her bag and pulled out the CD. It was the CD that had "Crazy 4 U" on it. I took it from her and handed it to Ross. He looked at me like I was stupid.

"Why are you giving me this?" he asked. I smiled at him.

"I thought you might like these songs. They remind me of you. That band is really awesome by the way." I said. He took it and smiled at his brother, Riker. They nodded.

"We've heard of them. Actually, we know them quite well." Rocky said. He let out a laugh. I looked at them, confused. They all busted out into laughter.

"Okay.....?" I looked at Samantha. She didn't know what was going on either, from the looks of it. Riker finally calmed down enough to explain. I raised my eyebrow at him, waiting for an explaination.

"That's our album." he said, still smiling. I glared at Ross. He seemed to get what I was getting at.

"I didn't think it was important to mention at the time. Sorry." he smiled apolegetically. I shrugged.

"I guess you wrote my favorite song." I smiled. These are nice things to know ya know? :{D
