Aaron

What the fuck was she doing here? I was fine. My life was going well until she showed up at her father's engagement party.

Huh, who would've thought Will's mom would fall for Leonard Davis.

I left the party just right after their engagement announcement. I couldn't bear to stay there, knowing Cadence was around. Yes, Cadence who I fucking loved with all my heart, but that's over now. She betrayed me. She left without even telling me and nearly broke my entire life. I wouldn't let her shatter me again. I was so done with her.

I focused my gaze on a hot redhead in front of me. She was dancing while sending me the green signal. She pointed at me and gestured me to dance with her. I took another shot of whiskey before joining her on the dance floor.

And just like that, Cadence was forgotten.

After a while of dancing and touching with this hot woman whom I didn't remember the name, someone grabbed my arm. I glanced at the suspect ready to hit whoever it was and saw William. Behind her was Cadence. Are you fucking kidding me?

"What the hell?" I shouted more to her than to him.

"Hey, we're not here to cause some trouble, but you need to go home now. You had enough last night and earlier. Aren't you tired of this bullshit?" William said seriously.

"How there you come back here." I ignored Will and narrowed my eyes at the woman behind him. I didn't know if it was the alcohol that made me act this way, but I was so pissed. Pissed at her, but more importantly at me for still caring.

She started to say something, but Will stopped her. "Ron, not tonight. You're drunk and you need to go home."

"It's my life. I can do whatever the HELL I want. Leave me alone." I told them and started to walk back to the woman I was dancing with earlier.

"Aaron... please stop and go home. We can't leave you here." Cadence said and anger filled my lungs.

"You can't leave me here?" I laughed. "SERIOUSLY? YOU FU..." I rushed towards her and lifted my arm to hit her, but I stopped myself just in time to realize what I was doing. She looked terrified like she didn't know at me all. William was also shocked and started to talk shit about what just happened and how ridiculous I was.

I couldn't deal with this. I needed to get the hell out of here.

I left the bar hoping they wouldn't follow me. Thank god they didn't.
