c h a p t e r ~ 3

Few weeks went by everything was going smoothly. All 6 of y'all get closer and closer and you guys are basically a group now . Y'all walk, eat and play together and even hangout at eachothers places sometimes.

Like every morning I am getting ready and my mom is doing my braids. Niki rushes into the room and bangs his toe on the foot of the table.

"Aishh!! Nothing is going my way today ugh"
"What's up big bro by 1 min and 23 seconds xD . Are you okay ?"
"No! I'm not. I'm in big trouble now"
"Hmm why?"
"I forgot to do my assignment and we need to read it today at class"
"AGAIN?!!" Mom asked
"Ya...I thought it was due tommrow.. what am I suppose to do now?","can I just stay home and inform the school that I'm sick ? I don't wanna embarrass myself"
"Oh dear there is no way you are skipping school. You still have about 30 mins do it right now! Show me what it is"
Mom takes Niki and leaves the room

Me on the other hand with only one side of my hair braided am sitting still and don't know what to do now. Mom just left. "Guess I'll ask dad to do it"

I go to my parent's room and ask my dad to braid the other half. He hesitated at first but then did it. After he was done I checked the mirror and I-
"What is thisss?????!!!!! Dad you made me look like I got into a fight with someone and they just ripped my hair!"
"No it doesn't, it looks pretty now go and have your breakfast"

I left the room mad and ate my breakfast. By the time mom was free it was too late to make my hair again so I had to go to school without changing it.

My first few classes went by but noone seemed to notice my horrible hairstyle yet, since we were kids it didn't actually matter but I wanted to look good...why did I want to look good ?

At lunch break all 6 of us sat down and started to have our lunch. I was still a bit upset about my hair and someone on the other side of the table noticed it.

"Why aren't you smiling today?"

I raised my head to see a familiar face. It was Jake

"It's nothing"
"Come on tell me"
By this time all of them were looking at me
"My hair isn't done properly today that's why I'm a bit upset nothing serious"

Jake then looked at my hair. I was having anxiety at this point.

"It looks fine to me" Niki said to which everyone nodded their head with an agreement.
"It looks good y/n, only the left side is a bit higher than the right one." Haneul added .
"I know you guys are saying this just to make me feel better. I know it looks bad"

"It actually looks good y/n, but since you don't like it can I try to redo it?" Jake asked.

Everyone looked at him with a shock face .
"You know how to do braids?!" Mi Rae asked.
"A little bit. When my mom broke her hand once I had to my sister's hair. I was really bad in the beginning but now I'm decent at it " Jake answered.

He gets up from his place and walks towards me and unties my hair. I could feel my cheeks burning. I was all red. Him doing my hair made me happy and embarrassed at the same time. It was a feeling I've never encountered before. What was that feeling of warmth and comfort?...

While he was putting my hair together his hands touched my neck.
The touch felt like the stars were dancing across my skin.

"Andd done. Check it out on that mirror. I hope you like it now"

I got up and looked into the mirror it was really pretty.
"I love it. You're really good at it thanks alot Jake"

"Glad you liked it. Now let's see your big smile eee"

Everyone giggled looking at him and I smiled. While I was looking at him I noticed a mole on his left side of his neck.

I joking said "If we ever part away and I can't recognise you this mole will help me find you out"

Everyone laughed it off but who knew those worlds I spelled out that day wasn't very funny.

"Winter is coming soon" Sunghoon said
"Oh yeaa snowfall days incoming!!" Haneul exclaimed.

"This winter will be the FIRST time me and Niki will be able to experience snowfall. We have been to places with snow but we have never encountered snow falling"

"Woah you guys have never seen it?" Mi Rae asked
"Nope" Niki replied.

"Guess this snowfall is going to be special for you guys then" Jake said.
"Yes it will"

Everyone continued having their lunch. After lunch we had some time before the break got over and we decided to go to the playground. While everyone was running around Jake pulled me aside and whispered
"since this will be your first time watching snowfall, why don't we both go to the highest tower in town so that we can be the first one to touch the snow on The first day of snowfall for the year. I'll ask my family driver to take us there . What do you think?"

The idea sounded pretty good to me and then I thought about Niki.

"And what about Niki? He will also be seeing it for the first time.."
" Yea let's take him too. I'll find out what time it would snow this year and inform you. You promise to go?"
"Yep promise"

I was really looking forward for that day to come.
We were talking about random things then we heard a girl's voice call out
"Jakey!"
We turned around to look at the source of the voice. It was the girl I saw with Jake getting off the car on the first day.

"Ah hey sis. What happened?"

Aha she was his sister I was worried for nothing. Wait why was I worried?...

"Looks like you made a new friend"
"Yea I'll introduce you to her. Y/n this is my elder sister Julia. Sis she is the new girl in school and my new friend y/n"
"Nice to meet you unnie Julia"

She looked at me from top to bottom with a straight face and said
"Ya.. nice to meet you..I guess. Are your parents rich like ours?"

Excuse me WHAT! I thought.

"JULIA! What are you asking..." Jake said
"Haha don't mind her she like joking around. Righttt sis?"

"Yea whatever, Mom asked me to tell you that after school today we need to go to choose the design for your birthday card so meet me at the gate after school. DON'T FORGET"
"Okay okay now go byee"
Jake pushes his sister to go away.

"Birthday? When is it?" I asked

"Oh it's on 15th November. Don't worry I'll be sure to invite you *wink*" he smiled and ran towards sunghoon and Niki.

That wink made me blush a little.
"Cute..."
