Never in a million years did I think I was gonna be standing in front of Dracos father.
I cowered under his gaze- he was looking at me like he was trying to figure out who I was. A glare was on his face, and I couldn't seem to get a single word out.
Draco had never talked to me about his father, but he only told me he hated him with everything he had. And now, with it being almost December, he'd have to go home for the holidays- but so would I. And that's not gone thing I'm looking forward too.
Dracos father raised his eyebrow, eyeing the sweater I was wearing. "Are you going to stand there ignoring me or answer me when I'm talking to you?"
I laughed nervously, and looked down at the sweater. "This? No. It's my- friends cousins boyfriends uncles sweater."
He didn't seem amused. "It clearly says Malfoy."
"Pfft- no. It's says 'Mal-ford. Malford'." I tried to give him a sly smile but he only glares at me harder.
"My son already has a women in his life," he stated with hatred laced in his tone and I sort of stopped smiling. "He doesn't need someone like you."
My smile completely dropped, my hands started to ball up the sweater. "W-what?"
"Have you ever considered his feelings?" He gave me a chuckle, one that I knew was sarcastic. It felt hard to breathe. "You'll just drag him down. Someone like you isn't good enough for my son, and the women I have picked out is. They are going to be engaged in a few weeks."
My heart shattered.
It felt like my chest was about to collapse, and my heart started beating rapidly. Was I seriously not good enough for him? I took a look back on what I was wearing. Sweatpants. A sweater- his sweater. Sneakers. Hair down and tucked behind my ear.
I could dress better.
My eyes could be smaller.
My nose could be thinner.
Tears were slowly welling up in my eyes, and I had to physically stop them. I was not crying in front of Dracos father.
"Astoria Greengrass." He told me proudly, a knowingly smirk on his face. "And the best part about it, is that Draco doesn't even know. Which is exactly why you need to leave him. Stay away from my son, and don't drag him down. Let him be with who he wants to be with, not some girl who doesn't have her life together."
Ouch.
He looked me straight in my eyes, and captivated mine. "Leave my son, or you'll be dead by sunrise."
