Jameson
I lay back against Madison as her back rest against the headboard, Reece is in-between my legs and the television is playing the scary movie that Madison chose.
"These things are extremely unrealistic," I grumble as I pop a skittle into my mouth. Well more like half the small bag. Madison snatches them from me as they fall into my mouth and half of them don't make it. "Woah woman!"
"You didn't ask and these are mine." Madison says with mock annoyance.
"Should have told you that she does not play about her candy. She's an addict." Reece says and I chuckle.
"Tell us something you would want us to know about you, Jameson," Madison blurts out of nowhere, making me sigh. I rack my brain for something I think is worth knowing.
"Well I guess now is a good time to share that I was raised Catholic and I was a priest." Glancing up I stare at Madison knowing she already knows this. She runs her fingers through my hair and nods. It's all the reassurance I need to continue. "My father was a devote man to an extent. He dabbled in things that were not of God so sometimes it was hard to respect him. When that respect slipped, I was punished profusely. I was raised to honor him above all. Above God. I feared that man. He would tell me that he'd take me out of this world before he allowed me to go against him. I wasn't fool enough to try him on it."
"He was a priest though," Reece says as he sits up and turns a to look at me. "Shouldn't he be more concerned about your soul or your relationship with God?"
"He was not. He was worried about who I would be to the outside world but in our home, I was his heir. I had a due diligence to the company he created. Yes, I was to be a priest but I was also meant to be something and someone else entirely." I sit up, my gaze never straying for Reece. "You two make me want things I was not allowed to think about having. Like a wife, a husband, sons or daughters or both. I want all of that with the two of you."
"We want that too, right Mistress?" Reece asks and I slowly feel Madison's arms snake around my shoulders. My eyes flutter with contentment as she nuzzles her face into the side of my neck.
"When I was sixteen years old my mother killed the only man I knew as a father for touching me. I watch the bullet hit him right between the eyes and I didn't flinch." Madison confesses before she bites my neck then sucks it softly. I reach back with a groan as she no doubt leaves a hickey. "I lived with that. I lived with my mother killing herself in prison my senior year of high school. I've dealt with a lot and it has darken me. So know that there is darkness in all of us, Jameson. Darkness that doesn't seek the light, it only festers." Madison then turns my head and kisses me softly. As her lips move against mine, I feel Reece's hands on my thighs.
"I was twelve years old when I was called a faggot for the first time." He breathes. Madison breaks our kiss so that I can turn to looks at Reece once again. His eyes hold his frustration for what he is about to share. "God, I didn't know what to say so I said nothing. That's when the bullying started and never stopped. I've been raped in the school bathroom by jocks who swore they were straight. They all had good lawyers and my family was threatened when we tried to prosecute the fuckers. My dad believed in street justice though. So in the end two of them never went to a D1 college because they couldn't walk, and they other..." Reece swallows thickly before shaking his head profusely. I cup the back of his neck, pull him to me, and kiss him hard.
But suddenly there's a hard knock on my bedroom door makes us jump apart. My heart hammers against my chest because I know for a fact there is no one within the house. The guards are standing watch and the chef as well as maids have been sent home for the night. Putting my finger to my lips I look at Reece then Madison, who is now in front of me. They both look nervous and unsure. I slowly get up from the bed and rush them both towards the closet. Just as I close the door behind us, the room to my bedroom flies off the hinges.
"I need both of you to trust me right now okay?" I say as the chilling voice of a man I haven't seen in years echoes through the door.
"Come out Jamey boy, I know daddies little bitch is in here somewhere. I have to say, you're one bold motherfucker for showing up to the courtroom and taking the best lawyer in the states off my nephews case. So now it's time I cane you like your daddy did." I snarl and Madison hands cup my face just as I turn around to storm out the closet and show myself.
"We trust you, now get us out of here." She whispers softly.
"Check the entire house, kill the motherfucker when you find him, and anyone else he has with him." The chilling voice says and my blood runs cold. I hear slow calculated steps nearing the closet door. They stop short but I don't exhale. Instead I push Reece and Madison to the far corner of the large closet. I make them squat as I pull one of my pistols out of one of the shoes boxes I have. When I aim it at the door, my hands shake which is something new for me. Usually I'm cool, calm, and collected but I don't usually have two people I care about hiding behind me. I hear the door knob move but just as it's about to open guns shot ring out, shouting starts and I know it's time for me to make my move.
"Stay here!" I shout before rushing toward the closet door and throwing it open. I'm not surprise to see Robert spraying bullets at three men who are hiding behind the leather sofa I have in my room. I aim my gun and one, two, three dead bodies in seconds. "Where the fuck is Inav?!"
"He fled sir but my men are on his tail." Robert says.
"I want him at my building by morning." I seethe.
"Very well sir, but there is more you need to know."
"Really and what is that?"
"The Don of the Irish Mafia has put a bounty on Mr. Reece's head. Five million dollars to be exact." My heart sinks to my feet as my eyes begin to ring. Those motherfuckers!
"Well, I guess this means war. Get in touch with my great Uncle Smirnov. Tell him I need him in the states now. Things have went south." I rush back to the closest without looking back at Robert. My head is hurting so bad I can't see straight and I know it's the anger. When I step into the closet my eyes hone in on Reece. I watch his throat work as he swallows before I look back into his eyes.
"T-They are after me now, huh? T-they s-said this would happen." He stutters.
"No, none of that." I snap. "You do not fear these people because I will protect you."
"What now?" Madison says softly as she looks up me with an expression I've never seen before. Her innocence is showing in this moment and I know exactly what I have to do.
"You two are done working for the time being. It's not safe and I can not continue to let you do so in good conscious. We will have to move, and I promise I will take care of you two. Just...trust me." Both of them nod and I sigh as I place my gun on a shelf and walk to them. "We will go to your home and get the necessary things and items you two want to take. From there we will take a trip to a property I have in Washington State's mountains." Both my partners agree, knowing that it's the only option they have if that want to stay alive, and they will—even if I die protecting them.
