Chapter 51:

Veronica's POV:

As vampires poured in like insects I quickly shifted into my large ancestral demon form. Letting my wings flap out felt heavenly...figuratively speaking of course. Demons do not associate with heaven.

"Get me the potion!" I bellowed as vampires came at me. I swatted them away like flies as I waited for the potion to come to me.

Brooklyn's POV:

"We are losing inside." Ryder said through the pack link.

"Should we charge in?" Andrew asked as Ryder pushed a demon over his head and Andrew connected swiftly taking his head off.

"Yes. We are winning out here. Everyone else stay. Brook you're with us." Ryder commanded. I nodded hastily and we dodged around the fighting and made our way inside. I smelt the vampire blood being poured onto the tiles by the demons.

Off the shadows on the wall I could see Veronica in her true form tossing vampires away like they were rag dolls.

"She is huge!" I exclaimed through the pack link. Ryder growled angrily and lowly, the sound was so animalistic it frightened me. I have never heard a werewolf make that noise.

Veronica must have heard it too because she turned quickly her eyes blazing red with anger.

"You! I gave you the choice of a life time!" He screamed walking over. Ryder ran towards her and she grabbed him by one arm and he yelped. I snarled and ran up to her and bit down hard on her leg. She hissed angrily and sent a hard crushing kick to my chest that sent me flying back into the stone wall. The stone impacted around me and I groaned in pain. Ryder growled angrily and she tossed him away like he was nothing.

"What's this? Is that your mate I kicked?" She asked. Ryder got up and she stopped him by sending the same blowing kick to his chest. She chuckled as he flew back breathlessly and she walked over to me. She dug her nails into my back and I yelped as she pulled me up.

"I gave your mate the opportunity of a life time. Give me the Snow elf and I would have let you and your children live. He chose not to do it so I will take away his family."she said.

"Brook don't shift." Ryder said through the pack link as he stumbled to get up. I didn't listen and I shifted back and she smiled pleasingly.

"Ella is my daughter and you will never have her." I said letting my claws descend. I grabbed her black wing quickly and tore half of it to shreds. She let out a pained yell and I grinned happily.

She threw me at a new stone wall and my human body hit the wall hard and I slumped to the ground, too tired to even move.

"Brook!" Ryder yelled through the pack link. I smiled weakly as Veronica was handed the purple vile that could end the vampire race. My eyes fell shut before I saw what happened.
