A long time ago, a cosmic being of love, fate and death came into existence, she in fact one of the most powerful cosmic beings in existence, stronger than galactus and even the phoneix force. As a cosmic being she had blue skin and a beautiful figure.

Her beauty did not go unnoticed by others that tried to court her, from aliens to gods all of them tried to seduce her either for her looks or her power, all but one. Curiously, that god did not seem like the others, he did not care about strength but valued wisdom instead, he was fond of mortals though she never understood why, he knew they would die and yet he imparted knowledge to them, taught them to hunt and plant to survive, that god was known to many as anansi.
She decided to spend time with that god and found him both pleasent and infuriating at the same time, he did not care about her standing or power but he always seemed to get himself and herself in trouble with his tricks some that were directed at her which often caused her to almost kill him a few times but he would always give her that look with his pouty lips and eyes and apologize and make her feel like the bad guy. His mouth that did not shut up also caused her headaches and she was a cosmic being, she did not get headaches.
Still the spider god slowly entered her heart and made her fall in love with him but before she could confess, he had told her that he had started dating the phoneix.
Flashback
Sonja : hello anansi, what are you up to today ?
Anansi : nothing much really, I want to tell you something though.
Sonja : I want to tell you something as well, you first.
Anansi : I have fallen in love and began courting the phoneix force.
Sonja ( furiously ) : ( how dare that fried chicken take what is mine ? )
Anansi : so what did you want to tell me ?
Sonja ( fake smile ) : nothing, just that I value our friendship.
Anansi : me too sonja
After that she met him a few times then told him she had a job to do and would be abscent for a while since she could not bear seeing him and the phoneix together. He was sad but told her to be back soon and so she flew towards space not to be seen for a few years.
End of flashback
During those years in space she had tried to get over her love but her love for him only grew, one day she was flying close to earth and saw a woman made of flame she recognized as the phoneix force crying on an astroid. Curious to know the reason she approached her to ask.
Sonja : hello phoneix, why are you so sad ? And how is anansi ?
Her words much to her confusion made the phoneix cry harder.
