The showing of the Infinite Hells had continued once more. Everyone grew attentive as they stared at the screen in front of them.
(He'll end it here... for sure...)
This was the resolve many conjured up as they prepared themselves.
They had seen that boy through horrors unimaginable, things that no human being should ever experience...
They had seen that boy pour out his heart and for the first time ever, scream and cry exactly what he wanted...
And then... like many other times in the past, they had seen the boy clench his right fist... in order to shatter the illusion of the god who had shifted and destroyed the world.
It was that clenched fist that told them.
Kamijou Touma was going to fight the Magic God.
And he was going to win.
"OTHIIINNNNUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSS!"
The boy's earsplitting scream filled the room.
"Yeah! You get her Boss!"
"You can do it Kamijou!"
Pride and relief filled the room as they saw what they had always seen when it came to that unlucky idiot.
I didn't matter if his opponent was stronger than him.
It didn't matter if they outwitted him on every turn.
It didn't matter if it was a hopeless endeavor that no amount of trying could help.
That wouldn't get in the way of the resolve to see a smiling face.
Everyone knew from the beginning that he ultimately did not stand a chance against her.
It only took an instant.
Othinus did not even take a single step.
By the time Kamijou Touma tried to dash forward with his right fist clenched, the situation had already decisively changed.
Something exploded right in front of him.
Worry filled the eyes of many as debris and smoke blocked their vision of the boy.
The explosive noise arrived late and Kamijou felt it through his bones more than his ears. By the time his comprehension caught up, he was flying high through the air like a soccer ball.
"Kamijou!"
"Touma!"
They screamed as the boy was launched in the air.
This result had to have already appeared in Othinus's head.
All Kamijou had managed was to slightly alter the trajectory of his flight and the spot he landed in.
He remained in the air for several seconds.
His time there was clearly too long for a human-sized mass. What did that mean?
Before fear could devour reality, his back struck the dirt of the schoolyard.
"Is he okay...? That landing didn't look..."
Shirai let out concern but what was shown next made her silent.
Without exaggeration, a massive amount of dark red liquid rose from his organs and spewed from his mouth.
