"i'm a blessing. or a blessing user, same thing really."
"and what makes you different from curse users?" your dad asked.
"well, i use positive emotions rather than negative to be stronger." you answered, placing another 'x' in the tic-tac-toe board that you were playing with megumi on.
"yup, that's the simple version of it." your father explained, making sure his daughter was well educated about herself. "would you like to explain further?"
"uh-huh..." but you weren't listening, you were fully invested in the game, trying to find a way that your could trip up your best friend.
"hey, you." the late sorcerer poked megumi's head jokingly, pulling him out of his trance. "stop distracting my daughter."
"doesn't matter, i already won." placing the final 'x' down, you threw your little arms into the air in celebration.
"i totally let you win." megumi lied, not being able to help the smile that crawled on his face from seeing you happy.
"i'm sorry if we're boring you with all this blessing stuff." pulling out his phone, he looked for gojo's contact number. "i can get gojo to come pick you up."
"no, it's fine. i like learning about her." he tilted his head towards you. "besides, i'd do anything to get away from gojo." you both chuckled at his confession, knowing how exhausting the man could be. watching you laugh, he continued,
"wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

dad trial #2 🧍🏼♂️ Good morning (Y/n), happy birthday. I'm sorry I won't be able to be there for your birthday, as I am on a mission. But I hope you have blessed day. Spend some time with your friends, I heard that they wanted to take you shopping. I've already sent you money for your birthday earlier today, but if you need more, let me know. Your gift should be on your bedside table.
And I know I say this every year, but I want you to know that although I am not your biological father, I will always love you as my daughter. You are amazing, strong, and intelligent. Congrats on surviving another year.
Have a great day.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" barging into your dorm room, your friends came in with a beautifully decorated cupcake.
