The Trap

"Kya hua kiska phone hai?", Haseena asked, seeing his jovial mood turning stern again.

"Ravindra Sir....urgently bulaya hai"

Three of them, left their food quickly driving back to IB office.

At IB office,

Ravindra put an orange envelope in front of AnuSeena and SM. It was mailed to Neil, his team's Forensic expert field officer.

Anubhav opened the letter, it had 4 photos of unknown people. At the back of each photo a message was written.

Help them, you say you save lives but you didn't save mine, I'll kill your conscience, by killing these innocent people. Save them if you can....

At back of 4 photos, each had one name written, Haseena, Anubhav, Sharad and Ravindra.

"Ye kya naya bawal hai, who the hell he is? IB ko joke samajhta hai", SM roared in anger.

"Joke hi samajhta hai", someone said from behind.

"Sara dhyan apni wife ke attack par rakhoge toh aise hi hoga", Danny, Ravindra's senior and the head of team in AX's mission said entering. Unwantingly, 4 of them saluted at his harsh comment. He didn't wanted the couple to work in same team, from beginning.

"Sir ye vakt taunts ke liye sahi nahi hai" HM said.

"Ji sir humne Neil ko local police se coordinate karne ke liya kaha hai to find these people as soon as possible. Mumbai mein nakabandi Kar chuke hai DGP ke orders se....personal network bhi active kar chuke hai...and tum teeno bhi ye 4 photo apne sources mein active kardo", Ravindra ordered and sent them away from Danny. He was a shrewd, heartless senior, whereas Ravindra was a complete opposite senior. He had full faith on his team.

Everyone was working without any break, without any blink of relief. They contacted each station, personally to get the report of Missing persons, but to avail no one matched. It had been 3 hours to the letter receiving. But still they were far away from first clue. Maybe those 4 innocent don't even know what was coming their way...

"Humme mil gaya ek ladki ka address", HM exclaimed. "Vo PG student hai, bourivalli me rehti hai".

"Aap vaha ki local thane ke saath team up karke jaiye", AS ordered. Haseena was about to leave, his personal emotions were erupting, reminiscing the incident, but he kept them aside. "HM....(She turned) dhyaan se", he added, to which she nodded smiling and left.

Here after her departure, Neil called the IB wireless.
"Unme se ek aadmi ka pata chale hai...but I was late he is no more"

It came as a shock for them. "Start investigating", Ravindra ordered disconnecting the call.

"I think ab baaki dono ko dundhne ke liye social media aur news channel ki help leni chaiye..." SM suggested.

"We certainly don't have any option left now", Ravindra said, he approved half heartedly.

After an half an hour , they got the information of the remaining two persons. But they were late, they received the same painful news at each site. Four innocent people died and the traitor succeeded in his mission, breaking a little inside them as they blamed themselves for their demise...

Ravindra's team is a real fighter. They may be dejected for some time but never lost hopes, the will to fight against every enemy against the nation. Composing them of the recent happenings, they quickly framed the case theory.

"Akash, Pari, mehul aur akriti....in Charo ke beech koi relation nahi hai, na family ka, na common friends/job/field/schooling....kuch bhi nahi...I think he has chosen them on a random basis", Neil said as they started discussing the case.

"Hai ek", Anubhav interupted

"Charo akele rehte hai, middle class family se belong karte hai...inke buildings ke entry register check kiye hai...sabne pechle do dino me plumber ko bulaya hai"

"Plumber?", SM questioned.

"Register pe different names hai lekin writing same si hai lagh bagh" ravindra said examining them.

"Iss plumber ko pakdo", he ordered.

His picture was captured from cctv, at each building he had gone disguised in different looks. This night was sleepless and tiring for them, nothing new they spent half a year like this.

Next day, Ravindra entered to see his team working tirelessly. He ordered them to take a break and freshen themselves.

"Koi update us plumber ke bare me", Ravindra asked to which, everyone nodded negative.

"Post mortem reports?"

"Sir bodies kal raat ko pahuchi thi toh aaj subha hoga...shaam tak report ayegei", Neil answered.

At evening AnuSeena had got a clue about plumber, who was currently hiding in a chaul of Mumbai. With their khabri and local thana officer they went searching for him.

Here in IB post mortem reports arrived. After, reading and analyzing, Ravindra became impatient. "Anubhav aur Haseena kaha hai Sharad?"

"Sir vo plumber ke baare me lead milli thi toh vo gaya hai apne khabri ke saath"

"It may be a trap....call them back immediately"

Sharad, horrified dialed their numbers but they were switched off, he shared a tensed look with Ravindra and Neil. He knew Anubhav's khabri, so tried his number only to get a shock.

"Sir, Anubhav and Haseena are missing....jis khabri ke saath vo gaye the uska phone uss area ke SI ne uthaya hai, he is hospitalized. Uspe hamla hua hai, aur vo dono gayab hai."

"Gayab hai Matlab, itni dense area se bina kisi ki nazar se gayab? Vo policewalo ke samne se gayab....what the hell this is?", Ravindra roared.

"Sir vo vaha uske ghar investigate kar rahe the anubhav ne usse aas paas enquire karne ke liye bheja....jab vo team vapis ayi toh khabri injured aur vo dono gayab the", Sharad explained.

Ravindra threw the postmortem file on table.
"Is report ke mutabik, Charo ko pehle se poison kiya hua tha....humara paas jab vo tasveere pahuchi usse pehle hi, they were injected with a slow poison".

"Get ready team, un dono ko sahi salamt dundhna hai", Ravindra ordered and left to call DGP for local police assistance, to find them.

Somewhere in Mumbai.

"Trap ye nahi hai jo tumhe dikh raha hai, trap vo hoga jo mein kal karunga...", a man said to his bodyguards. "Humara patient zero ready hai", he asked.

"Yes boss", someone replied.

"Make sure sabka dhyan in dono pe ho until humara plan successful ho....zyada dense area nahi, koi different location choose karna for his accident...aur ha IB ke kisi officer ko uske contact me zarur lana" he ordered.

"Sir jab ye Anubhav aur Haseena hai toh kisi aur ko kyu", his worker asked.

"Kyuki Anubhav humare abhi bahot kaam ayega....aur haseena ko I won't kill", he said gliding his finger on his new found attraction, haseena's picture.
