Edmund and I had our thoughts running through our head and thinking from adrenaline that Edmund was doing to both of us. With every fiber under our skin, was a sensation that we never felt before.
Of course I spent time with Susan, Peter and Lucy to get to know them individually and together, but my time with Edmund was my favorite. We always went for an evening, morning and night stroll everyday. Ed never leaves my side unless he absolutely needs to. But the more time we spent, the more we didn't know what we were, and we still don't know.
As I sat down in front of the fireplace in the throne room looking at Edmund while he talked to Peter about alliances and war treaties.
"That's too far, brother, we can't do that. The White Witch is way to powerful. We need to find something or someone that will protect Narnia from her and also that can defeat her once and for all." Peter said
"There's this old legend about a King who married a enchanted Queen and had a daughter. A few years later, the princess was captured, and since then she was never found. The king has been looking for his daughter ever since." Raising my brow, Susan pointed to picture of the royal family
"This Royal family is from an enchanted place called SunGriffin" Susan looked at us
"That's who we need to find" Susan closed the book
"But, what about The White Witch? Didn't Aslan defeat her?" I asked
"Well, yes... but somehow, she came back. We need to defeat her once and for all." Edmund said looking around the room
"It's settled then, we start our journey in two days" Ed continued
The Pevensies parted ways as I followed Edmund to the music room. I saw him sit down on one of the chairs picking up a violin.
he plays?
I leaned against the door listening to the sound of the instrument as Edmund moved his right arm back and forth switching the tunes.
Is that "Tale As Old As Time" by Beauty and The Beast?
I walked in the music room sitting in one of the chairs close to Edmund's. I smiled listening and looking at him while he played the violin. His eyes closed with his feet on the same rhythm as the song. He ended the song with a beautiful, long chorus.
"Wow.... I didn't know you played" I smiled. Ed looked at me.
"Oh, Y/N..... I didn't know you were there" he chuckled. "And yes, I've... I've been playing it for years, since I was young, actually. I had to learn some sort of instrument for school, so I chose the violin." he said putting the violin back on the case.
"What about the sword fighting?" I asked walking closer to him
"That I learned back when I was in Aslan's camp. A lot of centaurs taught me the basics and then, after years of practicing, I got used to it and better than Peter" Edmund joked. I chuckled.
"I bet you are" I said as I tried to touch the middle of his hand but got stopped. Edmund grabbed my hand immediately looking at me in the eyes.
"You know, I haven't forgotten about your answer" Edmund said looking at me with his cool brown eyes
"Edmund I-" I started
"I don't know what this is, I don't know-"
"I don't know either Ed... that's why we need to figure it out" I cut him off
"And.... about last night-"
"It's alright, don't worry about it. I liked being near you" he says as he kissed my hand leaving the room. He gave the gesture to follow him, and for the entire afternoon, we talked a lot. Edmund and I still didn't know what we were. But, just being around him made me feel happy, secure..... protected.
"Are you courting me?" I asked while we walked around the rose garden
"You could say that, I guess" Ed chuckled
I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. Edmund smiled at me with his eyes staring into mine as if we were the only two people in the world.
For the entire night, The Pevensies packed their trunks for the journey ahead. I decided to bring what I actually needed. I didn't know how long we would be on the journey, so I packed two full trunks with my extra bow and arrow that Susan gave me. I don't know how to use it but, I hope to learn soon.
"I think that's all" I sighed deeply closing my trunks trying to pull them against the wall.
"Need help?" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around seeing Edmund with two male servants behind him
"Yes, please. Thank you." I said standing beside him
"Gentlemen, if you please" Edmund said as both of the servants moved both of my trunks to the wall
"Is that all you're bringing?" he chuckled. "Lucy and Susan are bringing more than that. They don't know how long we'll be on the journey."
"Neither do I" I chuckled
"Well, I suppose that I'll see you tomorrow, then?" Ed grinned
"Of course!" I smiled as he kissed my hands goodbye
ED'S P.O.V
After kissing Y/N's hand goodbye, I left with a huge smile on my face walking back to my chambers to get ready for bed. Both of us still don't know what our relationship status is but, I hope to find out soon, I just know that, when I'm with her, I forget about everything. Even what I'm doing. It's quite a feeling, a strange feeling I'd say... but... who knows, right?
Turning off the candle beside my nightstand, I fell asleep under the covers knowing that tomorrow will be a long journey ahead for all of us. Especially Y/N and I.
Until, we find the enchanted princess, the long it'll take for Y/N and I to figure out what we are to each other or what our relationship status is. I really don't want to wait that long. I'm afraid that if we go back.... for some reason... I'll miss my chance to be with her, if I ever have feelings for her.
I'm really not sure when we'll figure it out but, I just hope that it's soon.
