Small sobs echoed from the corner of the palace armory. Hidden behind shields leaning against the wall. The sobs came from a young woman curled up, with her knees tucked close to her chest, hair falling around her face like a curtain, hiding her face completely.

The door to the armory creaked open, the sound of boots shuffling into the room. The young woman quickly snapped her head up, wiping the tears from her face and stifling her sobs, placing her hands over her mouth and taking deep breaths as loud as she dared, sniffling.

"Who's there?" A familiar voice called out in alarm, soon followed by the sharp scrape of a sword being drawn.

The girl gathered her courage, wiping her eyes before standing up, revealing herself from behind the shields with her head down.

"It's just me, sire...." She dared to let her eyes flicker up briefly to Prince Arthur's blue eyes.

"Mina," He sighed, sheathing the sharp blade he held back onto his belt, "what're you doing here?"

The young servant wrapped her arms around herself and looked away, ashamed of herself.

"I was just about to leave Sire," She paused, eyes flickering over to the door, past the prince, desperately wanting to escape the room.

She shuffled forwards trying to squeeze past the prince, but his arm shot out, taking hold of her arm.

"Mina, We've known each other since we were little." He paused, turning towards the girl and trying to catch her gaze, "what's wrong?" he spoke in a whisper, breath fanning across the young woman's face

"Nothing." Mina breathed out, in a bit of a laugh, keeping her eyes on the floor to her right. One of Arthur's big hands took hold of her chin, and pulled her face up, though she refused to look up at him.

"Wilhelmina." Arthur muttered her full name, making the young woman cringe.

"Arthur." She mimicked his tone, now turning her gaze up to the prince. His face twisted into a bit of concern, his hand shifted to cup her cheek, rubbing his thumb under one of Mina's eyes.

"Why were you crying?"

Mina blinked away from his gaze. "It's nothing." She tried to pull away, one of his arms wrapped around her waist to keep her in place, "Arthur." she protested.

"Please Mina, tell me."

An exasperated sigh left her lips as she turned her head away, eyes downcast.

"Its nothing." Arthur narrowed his eyes onto the girl in his arms.

"Arthur, I mean it," She turned her head, resting a hand on his chest, "Its nothing..."

It was the princes turn to heave out a sigh, but he let her go nonetheless, and she slipped past him, hurrying over the the exit.

"Willow." He spoke softly, but she heard him and stopped with her hand just touching the door in front of her, "I'm always here if you need me, you know that right? Prince or not. I'm here."

Mina slowly nodded her head, turning to face the prince before curtsying and giving him a smile.

"Yes, Arthur." And just like that she vanished from the armory. as if she was never there.
