Maya sat waiting in the pub for Warren. He walked into the pub. He made his way over to where she was sitting. "Did you speak to Sami?" She asked.

Warren nodded. "I did. And the police are looking into Esmè's death. They're looking at Trevor and his past. So I have an idea. And I know you're not going to like it," he said.

Maya looked to him and frowned. "I'm listening," she told him as she took a sip of her drink.

"I know you're grieving. And I know you're angry. But it'll be okay. I think we should let the police do what they have to. And if they can't get justice, I will help you. I'll take it into my own hands," Warren said.

Maya frowned as she looked at him. "You'd do that for me?" She asked.

Warren smirked and nodded. "I would. Besides you know if I found out the truth, you'd repay me," he said.

Maya grinned and nodded. "If you found out that they killed my baby and why she died, I will repay you in all the right places," she said as she slid her foot up his leg under the table.

Maya knew they had a lustful attraction between them. And she knew that they both wanted each other.

Maya smiled as she got to Grace's. Grace smiled. "I spoke to Sami. And he told me what you want. I know you lost your baby. And I know you're feeling things I can't imagine. But you're my best friend. And I need you. Promise me something," Grace said.

Maya smiled and nodded. She looked at her. "Of course."

"Be careful. Don't get into something you can't get out of. And don't do anything that will risk your life. And Warren... I know he's helping you. But he's Warren Fox. So you need to be careful. You've been through a lot. And I don't want to lose you," Grace said.

Maya looked to her and smiled. She knew Grace was her best friend. She knew she had always been the better one out the two of them. And she loved her.

Maya knew she wanted to get justice for Esmè. But she also knew Grace was thinking about her. And Maya knew that no matter what she did or what she decided to do, that nothing was going to bring back her baby girl. And she knew it hurt her more than ever.

Maya sat in the house. She heard a knock at the door. She stood up and answered it.  She frowned as she saw Warren with a look on his face. "What is it?" She asked.

"I have the post-mortem results for Esmè. I'm sorry babe. Trevor didn't kill her. It was a cot death," Warren said as he handed her the results.

Maya took it from him. She looked at him and frowned. But could she let this go? Or would she still want to make Trevor pay with justice of her own.
