A/N - This chapter may be a little sad. But it's the beginning of a storyline.

Maya was doing a lot of thinking. She knew she wanted her daughter back. But she wanted to do it the right way and she knew that taking her would mean that everything would go incredibly wrong.

When she woke that morning, she saw Grace sitting on her bed. "I had an idea. I talked to your lover about it and he agreed."

"What?"

"Say that DNA is wrong. That Trevor isn't her dad."

Maya smiled slightly. She sighed. "That won't work. Trevor did his own DNA test on her. She's a 100% his. He wouldn't buy that."

Grace sighed. "You can't kidnap your own baby and run off to Spain. Just tell them you want her back."

Maya shrugged and wiped away her tears. "I don't have a choice. If we stay here, I won't see her grow up."

Trevor was worried about Esmè. She had been crying all night and he didn't know. Grace was out on business. Trevor picked her up and held her close. "Shush. Daddy is here."

Esmè screamed louder so Trevor put her down. But as soon as he did, Esmè began fitting. Swearing to himself, he picked her up and rushed to the hospital.

Maya was with Grace in town when she got a text from Trevor;

HOSPITAL NOW! - Trevor.

Maya paled and she ran to her car with Grace and sped to the hospital. She was scared and she didn't care if she broke so many road regulations.

As soon as they arrived at the hospital, Maya ran inside. She saw Trevor. "What the hell happened?" She asked.

"She's been crying all night. Picked her up she kept on crying. I put her down and she started fitting. Brought her straight here except no one is telling me anything!"

Maya was panicking. She hated not knowing how her own little girl was. Grace held her best friend close. "It's going to be okay I promise. She'll be okay."

A doctor came out. Maya looked up and saw the look on his face. "I'm sorry. We did all we could. But your daughter didn't make it. Her body had toxins in which made it hard for her kidneys and they stopped working which put pressure on her heart."

Maya fell to the floor screaming. Her little girl had died and she hadn't been there for her at all. She couldn't stop the tears from falling.

Maya walked into the room where Esmè was. She saw her little girl lying on the bed and felt the tears. She walked over and held her hand. She had Grace with her. "She still feels warm," she mumbled. She was in tears. "I'm sorry I let you down baby girl. I'm the worst mummy there ever was. You must have been so scared. But you don't need to be scared anymore. You're safe. Night night my beautiful little Esmè. Sleep tight with the angels."

Grace was in tears too. She felt so bad for her best friend and she wasn't going to let her be alone.

Maya walked back into the village. She didn't care about her car. Her mascara was all down her face. She didn't care.

Warren walked over to her and frowned. "Babe? What's happened?" He asked. He would kill if someone had hurt Maya.

Maya blinked a couple of times. She looked at Warren. "She's gone. My little girl has gone."

Warren frowned. "Where's she gone babe? We'll get her back."

Maya shook her head. "SHE'S DEAD!"

Warren paled and looked at his lover. She fell to the floor crying. Warren held her close as she cried. He could see everyone was looking at her and she didn't care.

Maya looked at him. "T-The doctor said she had toxins in her body. I'm not stupid. That's poison. Someone did this to my little girl and they're not getting away with this."

"Babe. You don't know that."

Maya looked at him. "I need your help. I want you to help me find out who did this and help me kill them..."
