Confession

Aubrey looked down at her plate, the untouched food looked unappetizing and she felt sick,

"Hey, you okay" Noah asked looking up at his sister,
She didn't answer, she didn't hear him, she couldn't hear anything, she was so deep in thought she hadn't realized everyone around her was asking is she was alright, all she heard was Vinnie's broken promise

"I would never cheat on you"
"I would never cheat on you"
"I would never cheat on you "

It echoed through her head, he had lied to her, and he had sex with her after,

"Aubrey, baby, are you okay, are you going to throw up again" Vinnie said shaking her shoulder, she looked up at him, her mouth opened slightly, confused as to why everyone was staring at her

"Throw up? What! What are you talking about" Noah said looking at Vinnie

Aubrey looked at Noah, words where not being comprehended in her brain, everyone was talking at once

"Well Aubrey got sick earlier" Vinnie said looking at Noah, his hand still on her shoulder

"Well is she pregnant" Noah said loudly, the whole table went silent, looking at Noah, then at Vinnie, and then Aubrey, who stared blankly at Vinnie

"I-no I don't think so" Vinnie said

Noah looked over at Aubrey, letting out a deep breath,

"Aubrey, listen to me, Are you pregnant" he said his voice very serious, no one had seen him get so serious, so everyone was quiet as they waited for Aubrey to answer

"No" she said calmly her eyes still on Vinnie, who had turned to look at her

"Why are you staring at Vinnie" he said standing up, his voice raising a bit, he was upset, he didn't know if his little sister had gotten pregnant

"Because, I-" she stopped thinking for a second

"What if I'm overthinking this"

"He's probably not cheating, there has to be an explanation right"

"Because I don't know if I am or not" she said calmly

Noah let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and Aubrey looked back down at her plate, Vinnie's shoulders had dropped and he looked blankly at Aubrey, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open

"Are you serious" Noah said walking over to her, the table watched the whole thing go down,

"Look, I'm old enough to have sex Noah, and i might not even be pregnant, so there's no need to get angry" she said standing up and walking to the sink, to put her cup up

"You're 17, you barely movies into the house, and you just got in a relationship with Vinnie, your, your acting like a slut" Noah yelled, the outburst shocking everyone, Aubrey dropped her cup in the sink, turning around to face Noah,

"I'm not a slut, so don't call me one, and I'm not pregnant so don't assume I am just because i feel like throwing up" She said walking up to him, she stabbed him in the chest with her finger,

"Noah" Vinnie said looking at him shocked

Noah looked up at Vinnie sorrow in his eyes, he had just called his baby sister a slut, he knew how it would affect her, her only brother, her best friend calling her such a vile name, she wouldn't be talking to him for days,

"Aubrey, I'm sorry, I didn't meant to say that I was upset" he said pulling her in for a hug, she was still for a second, trying to say something but the lump in her throat stopping it, she wanted to cry, the possibility that Vinnie did cheat on her, made her want to cry and it didn't help that Noah had just slut shamed her, all of it was to much, it was moving to fast, her moving in, her relationship, her world was a spinning mess and the only way to fix it was to let everything out, she broke down in her brothers arms, loud sobs being muffled by Noah's black hoodie, he rubbed her back, the soothing movements making Aubrey feel only a slight bit better,
