Late Night

The room was dark, the sound of Vinnie breathing was the only sound, Aubrey laid on her side, her hand placed over Vinnie's, she stared at the sliding glass door, she couldn't sleep, but she was tired

She felt Vinnie move, and his breath was a lot closer to her, he raised his head peeking over to see if she was awake

"Are you awake" he whispered, his soft raspy voice made Aubrey smile. She turned over facing him

"Ya, I'm awake" she whispered back, her eyes watched as Vinnie's mouth formed into a smile

"Can't sleep?" He asked her

"No" she said wrapping her hand around his torso

"Me either" he said pulling her in closer,

Aubrey let out a little sigh, her brown eyes closing a bit

"Do you want to go on a little drive?" Vinnie asked quietly, Aubrey opened her eyes, and stared at Vinnie, she smiled

"Yeah" she said sitting up, the blanket dropping from the top half of her body

Vinnie sat up as well, his curly hair was messy,

He got up off the bed, his sweatpants where the only thing he had on, he put on white socks and slipped on his vans, he reached over grabbing a random shirt out of the basket of laundry his mom had folded the day before

Aubrey got off the bed, throwing on a jacket and putting on socks and a pair of red vans, she waited for Vinnie as he looked for his keys, the flashlight of his phone casting shadows on the walls, he found the keys, sticking them in his pocket and grabbing Aubrey's hand, leading her out of the door

They walked down the stairs, the sound of the TV playing softly, they head towards the door, Vinnie looked over at Reggie, who was sitting on the couch a bowl in his lap his head was resting on the back of the couch, and his eyes where closed, Vinnie chuckled and let go of Aubrey's hand walking over toward him, he took the bowl setting it on the coffee table, and payed him down, putting a blanket over his body. Vinnie looked down at him and smiled

"Night Reggie, love you" he whispered and walked back towards Aubrey who leaned on the wall watching the two brothers, she saw Vinnie turn around and walk towards her, his hands in his pockets and a small smile on his face, he removed one hand, interlocking it with Aubrey's

"You put him to sleep" he chuckled, Aubrey rolled her eyes and laughed

"Shut-up" she chuckled opening the door, the night was cold, and the wind blew her hair back, she shivered

"You cold baby?" Vinnie asked pulling her close to him, and shutting the door

"Ya a bit love" she said wrapping her arms around his torso, she looked up at him, smiling

He looked down at her his hazel eyes looking deep into her big brown eyes

"There's a blanket in my car if you want to use it" he said leaning his head down, his lips brushing over hers as he spoke

She blushed, puckering her lips and kissing him

"Okay" she said smiling

Vinnie went back in for another kiss, his hands holding onto Aubrey's waist, the wind picked up and a bright light struck the sky

Vinnie and Aubrey pulled back looking up at the sky, the bright light was slowly fading away

"We better get to the car before it starts raining" Vinnie said chuckling

"Ya, then we'll be really cold" Aubrey said rushing to the car, Vinnie followed quickly behind, he unlocked the car, opening up the passenger side for Aubrey and letting her get in, he rushed to the other side getting in and quickly turning it on, he reached back for the blanket, grabbing it and placing it on Aubrey, she smiled and brought her knees up to her chest trying her best to stay warm. Vinnie turned on the heater and they waited in the car for it to heat up
