MATILDA ACACIUS was abandoned by her parents at the age of seven, having to take care of herself until the age of ten, begging on the streets for scraps of food so she could survive another tiring day.

She was found and then taken in by a lovely couple; one of them was lovely. Tilly thought of the woman that opened her home to her as a mother, and the woman treated her like a daughter.

But, alas, all good things must come to an end: The lovely woman was murdered and the culprit was never found, which caused her husband to turn on Matilda. He thought it was her fault that his wife was dead, so he took his anger out on her.

One day, she had enough of his torture, and decided to do something about it. She wanted him dead, and so she killed him; she murdered him in cold blood.

She stuck a knife in his heart, watching him choke on his own blood — trying to stay alive — until he finally fell onto the floor, dead.

Tilly found out that she stopped aging when she turned seventeen and that she couldn't die when she drowned herself. She was cursed to spend eternity on this Earth and there was nothing she could do about it, so she had to make the best of it.
