surprising revelations

MATILDA SAT on the object she had just learned was a couch; the fabric of her gown caused the static to cause her to itch, as the material was bothering the small places where her skin was revealed. It appeared that she woke up in 2011, (after an arrow was shot through her heart) which greatly confused her as she assumed that she was supposed to be immortal?

Was there something wrong?

Matilda shook the thought off, when all of a sudden she felt something close up her airway and she couldn't breath. She saw flashes of Rebekah, her Rebekah, about to die along with a few other men which could have been her brothers.

Matilda needed to get to her lover and she needed to do so fast — there was no way she was going to let Rebekah die. Concentrating, she closed her eyes and imagined herself standing at the scene she envisioned earlier, and when she felt the wind against her hair she opened her eyes and looked around, spotting Rebekah.

"STOP! This shall not continue, Esther," Matilda spat out the witch's name like it was some kind of disease.

"Who are you to tell me that?" Esther shot back, never bothering to listen to the whispers of the other witches on the Other Side that passed around warnings and predictions about Matilda.

"I am someone more powerful than you can imagine. I can kill you with a snap of my fingers," Matilda raised her hand, as if to show Esther she wasn't kidding.

"I am channeling the Bennett bloodline and I have the power of the Other Side,"

"That does nothing to me. I can destroy your connection. You will not harm my Rebekah or anyone she loves," Matilda snapped her fingers and Esther slowly started to bleed out of her eyes, nose, and mouth until she dropped to the floor, dead.

"Tilly?" she heard a small voice mutter in disbelief. Matilda just turned around and captured Rebekah in a kiss which surprised the Original's brothers. The two girls were kept in the position of a hug for a short while until they heard someone clear their throat.

"Who is this, sweetheart?" Klaus addressed his sister.

"I am Matilda Acacius. The first immortal," Matilda replied. "I met your sister shortly after you all became creatures of the night. I saved her from dying but it seems I was in a slumber until a few hours ago when I found out I woke up in the year of 2011."

"I thought you were dead! I mourned you! Why didn't you tell me you were immortal?" Rebekah now had tears in her eyes, which was Matilda's weakness. She could never stand to see her love cry.

"I apologize, my dear. I planned on telling you later but it seemed I wasn't able to," she wiped the tears from Rebekah's eyes. "Now, why don't you introduce me to your family and we can catch up? Hmm? How does that sound?" she soothed the vampire which, again, surprised the Originals because Rebekah usually had to calm down herself. They didn't know how to soothe her.

"Alright," Rebekah agreed, starting to calm down now that she was encompassed in the warmth and comfort of her lover's arms.

TAKING A DEEP BREATH, Matilda focused on the Mikaelsons and their goals, her and Rebekah's hands intertwined, the blonde squeezing their hands for comfort.

"I know this might be a little confusing, but I am here to help. Despite my status of being a witch, I am devoted to your sister and I would do anything to help her and the ones she considers her family," Matilda promised, reassuring the Mikaelson siblings.

"But how do we know this isn't a trick?" Klaus commanded suspiciously, being ever so paranoid.

"You don't, you just have to trust me, and I swear I will earn that trust. But your mother was a big problem, and I believe the ones that are against you helped with the plan to take you all down. I am going to fix that," she informed them, getting up, helping Rebekah up as well.

"Where are you going?" Klaus quickly swiveled around to their direction.

"I am going to catch up with my lovely Rebekah, and then we can speak if you have anything else to say. But, keep in mind that I am older than you, and the whole Silas, Amara, and Qetsiyah fiasco," she waved him off, leaving him in shock.

He knew that she was the supposed first immortal, but he didn't think she was telling the truth, for immortals couldn't be witches, though since she truly was he supposed she would make a powerful ally.

Klaus also saw the way his sister and Matilda looked at each other; as if they were in love, and for once, Klaus didn't feel like killing Rebekah's lover for two reasons: The first one was that he was scared. She was the first immortal, which meant she couldn't be killed and he didn't want to test that theory.

The second one was that he felt she treated his sister right unlike the other men she was with, the ones who saw her as nothing more than a pretty face. Maybe he would think about tolerating her for his sister's sake (most definitely not because he was scared).
