Bvlgari sunglasses, an Audi A8, 2 girls by his side and a can of beer in one hand, he made quite the impression. As he pulled up, all eyes turned on him. Millerton was a small town so everyone knew each other. It was obvious that he was a new guy. I knew the minute I saw him that he was a total jerk who loved to show off. But something about him was different. Something wasn't right. Something didn't fit in his profile of "Rich and Ignorant". But I couldn't figure out what so I just let it go and continued shopping with Allie for something nice to wear on my first day of college.
I can't believe I'm going to the Millerton College of Performing Arts! Ahhhhhhh! It's always been my dream to study there. Anyway, when I got home I was really tired so I had a light dinner and went to sleep.
The next morning I woke up quite early and didn't know what to do so I just lay in bed thinking about the guy I saw last evening. I wonder who he is and I really want to know what's making me think about him so much. He was kind of hot but not Zac Effron or Lucas Till hot.
"Penny for you thoughts?"
"Oh hey mom! Nothing just thinking about college....." I lied (not completely though).
"College starts tomorrow and you should be sounding way more excited."
"I am really excited but I'm also a little nervous and scared."
"Oh you'll be fine. With that voice of yours, everyone's going to fall in love with you!"
"Thanks mom! Is that the time?! I better get ready. My friends and I are spending one more day together before we all go to college."

"Hey Allie! Where's Tay?"
"Oh she's running a little late. She'll be here any moment now."
*After what seemed like an hour but was probably 5-10 minutes*
"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late. I brought someone with me."
And there he was, standing beside Taylor, the guy I saw yesterday.
"Hello girls. I'm Kevin Scott. How are you doing today?"
"Hey Kevin. I'm Allison Roberts and this is my best friend Elise Hunter. We're doing great, thanks."
"Hi Allison. Hi Elise. You look familiar. Have we met before?"
"Ummmm..... I... d.d..on't....t.tt.tt.thi...nk.....so"
I was so shocked to see him there. I shouldn't even care. He was just another guy who recently moved to town. Why am I stuttering and acting all nervous? That guy's presence does something weird to my mind! Why the hell is he here anyway?
"Hey Tay, can I speak to you for a minute?"
"Yeah sure... What's up?"
"WHO IS THIS GUY? HOW DO YOU KNOW HIM?"
"Whoa chill. He's my new neighbour. Seems like a nice guy. He just wanted to tag along cause he didn't have anything else to do today. Also he's sorta cute."
"Cute? How do you know he's not some weird psycho or something?"
"Everything alright ladies?"
"Yup, everything is fine. Just fine." (I wish!)
He smiled, and there was that feeling again that something wasn't right, that something was not the way it ought to be.
