"So, where are we headed?" asked Taylor with eyes full of curiosity as Allie had told us that it was going to be a surprise.

"Fine, I'll tell you! My parents bought this new house near the beach because they fell in love with the view or something, you know they're such huge "nature lovers", and we have the house all to ourselves today. So, there's gonna be a party this evening and I've invited everyone from our high school. It's going to be a blast! Oh and Liz guess who's gonna be there..."

"Ummm I don't know. Hadley? Adrian? Q?"

"No you idiot, Josh!"

Oh shit! No! NO NO NO NO!!!! Not Josh, please not Josh! Why Josh? What is wrong with Allie?! Does she want to make my life miserable?

"What the hell Allie? Why would you do that?"

"Come on Liz, you guys were so good together! What happened anyway? You never told us."

"Umm girls, if you don't mind me asking, who's Josh?"

Thank god Kevin intervened so I didn't have to answer Allie's question. Poor guy, he looked totally lost and confused. Taylor answered his question and I had a feeling I knew what she was about to say. I really think that she has a soft spot for Josh. She was always blushing and giggly when he was around. I guess she kept it to herself cause I was going out with him. She's an amazing friend!

"Joshua Ray, the hottest guy in our high school and Liz's pathetically cute ex."

"God Tay! He wasn't the hottest guy! And Allie I'll never forget what you've done today!"

"Shut up Liz! You guys need to get back together and you know it! End of story!"

Why don't they get it? I don't want to see him. Especially not after how we left things 2 months ago, not after what he did. He's a bloody cheat and I never wanted to see his face again!

"I have to buy some things for tonight's party. Tay can you come with me? I need help and I know that you're amazing at organizing smashing parties!"

"Sure, why not? Hey Kevin sorry I have to go but you'll have company. Liz isn't really a fan of shopping so she'll stay with you. Right Liz?"

Today just keeps getting better and better. Now, I have to be alone with a guy I don't really know, who may or may not be a psycho who might kill me and chop me into pieces (okay fine, I'm exaggerating a little!) and who messes with my head. Great!

"Right. That's exactly what I'm going to do. Give Kevin company!"

And I fake smiled. After they left there was like 10 minutes of silence where both of us went and sat down on a bench nearby and stared at random vehicles speeding past us.

"What's on your mind Elise? You look troubled. Are you fine?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

"It's that Joshua guy isn't it? He's bothering you? You can talk to me you know. What happened between you two?"

"What makes you think I'll tell you, some random guy I barely know, what I haven't told even my best friends?"

"First of all, ouch! That was rude. Second of all, it's way easier to talk to someone you don't know than telling someone you've know your whole life. Third of all, I can keep an open mind and listen patiently. You can trust me."

"Oh what the hell! It's better to tell someone how I feel before all that hatred burning inside me just swallows me up. It was graduation day and we were all very, very excited. Hadley, another friend of mine, was going to have a party at her place later that day. We all planned to go in our graduation robes and there, rip them off and burn them, though now that I think of it, it seems like a very stupid thing to do. Anyway, we all finished graduation and drove to her place. Josh and I literally stuck to each other. We were dancing to some crazy music in front of a heap of burning graduation robes when he got a phone call and rushed off, said it would only take 2 minutes. I waited for half an hour and there was no sign of him. It was a crazy party so I couldn't find him no matter how much I searched. Then, some really drunk sophomore came to me and told me and that Josh was waiting for me in one of the bedrooms. I rushed upstairs. When I finally found the room, it was really dark inside. I switched on the light and that's when I saw Josh, on the bed, making out with Rachel Moore! He knew how much I hated Rachel! It killed me! I couldn't believe my eyes! 1 and half years we were together, we were in love! That had to mean something! And you know what he said! He said that it was dark and he thought that that hag Rachel was me as we had the same dark brown hair and were of the same height! How dare he! He actually thought I was going to believe that! I knew he was lying, I could see it in his eyes. And even if that was true, he couldn't recognize who his own girlfriend was! SUCH A BLOODY CHEATING JACKASS! UGH! HE CRUSHED MY HEART THAT DAY!"
