You woke up from your nap, rubbing your eyes still feeling tired. You grabbed your phone from the table checking the time and notification

You started to become worried, it was way past the time he was usually supposed to come.
'what if something happened to him'
Shaking your head, you pushed the thought past you. You grabbed the TV remote turning on the tv. Before you could change the channel, you stopped upon seeing a familiar area. You left the news on putting the remote back on the table.
"-4 officers shot, 2 dead-"
It was as if time stopped. Everything was frozen.
You kept pushing the thought out of your mind stopping the 'What if' from entering.
Giving in to the 'What if', you grabbed your phone checking again.

you unlocked your phone pressing on his name to call him, since leaving him messages hasn't worked.
Ring
Ring
Ring
Nothing.
You started to get worried more than you already were.
'Why wasn't he answering'
He wasn't someone you would worry about, more like you were someone he would worry about. Your attention was brought back to the TV screen when hearing the names of the injured.
"Sawamura Daichi was shot and rushed to the hospital after risking his life protecting us citizens."
Your head started spinning. You stood up, your walk being unbalanced, and grabbed your keys, entering your car.
Your hands were shaking. You looked down even wondering if you were able to drive. You drove to the nearest hospital in hopes of seeing him there.

You ran into the hospital, running straight to the reception.
"E-Excuse me, but is there an S-Sawamura daichi here?" Your breath was uneven as you spoke.
"Yes he is, are you a close relative?" The receptionist questioned before you replied back that you were his s/o. Upon hearing this, they asked you to go to room 205.
You stood in front of the 205 room, scared of what was beyond the door, so you took a deep breath before opening the door slowly.
There he lay. Silence filled the room but the sound of his heartbeat. You let out half of the breath you were holding after hearing his even beat. You watched him lay peacefully, that's when you started feeling a rush of emotions you were holding in. You sobbed with a hand covering your mouth, trying to quiet the cries coming out of your mouth. It was loud, but it was loud enough to wake up the man lying on the bed.
He blinked his eyes open, adjusting to the light. He looked to his left to see you crying. Upon hearing his movement, you looked to the source of the sound to see him staring at you with loving eyes.
He smiled at you but it was a weak smile, but it was the best he could do in the state he was in now. He opened his arms signaling you to come to him. You stood watching him for a few seconds before running into his arms, breaking down more. You were supposed to be checking on his but as always it's the other way around.
"I was so scared, Sawamura. Wait, are you okay? Were you shot? Do you need anything? I could go get it for-"
"wow, slow down [NAME]. I'm okay, I was just shot but they stitched it up fine, don't worry." He cut you off, reassuring you as he lifted his shirt slowly showing you the now bandaged gun wound on his toned body. "I'll be in the hospital for a while but I'm glad you're okay."
"Stop worrying about me and let me take care of you for once, okay?" You told him as you pulled the blanket on him. "Now get some rest and I'll get you something to eat."
Before you could walk out the door he called out your name.
"[NAME], I'm... sorry I made you worry."
"Hey, it's not about me right now, the most important thing is your health. Now rest!" You walked out the room closing the door behind not hearing the slight chuckle from Daichi and the 'Thank you' he gave you.

please im on the verge of rewatching the Haikyuu training camp arc for like the 2013989104th time. I can never get bored of it (especially because we get to see Kuroo and Bokuto *cough* cough*)
