Y/N's POV

The last few days have been really boring. Nothing was happening and I still couldn't talk to Ramos because she has been walking away every time I try to.

During this time I really bonded with Nicky which made my mom really happy. I'm not going to deny the fact that I'm still a bit hurt from her previous actions, but I promised myself to not dwell on the past.

Right now I'm sitting in the library reading some fantasy book. I wasn't really paying attention to it because my thoughts were filled with scenarios on what I could have been doing if I wasn't in prison right now.

That was until I heard a loud thud from beside me. I avert my gaze from my book and look around, trying to find the thing that made the sound. My eyes caught sight of a pretty young, black girl with short hair. She was pushing a cart with books, putting them away on the shelves.

She turned to me and smiled. "Hope I didn't interrupt your reading." Her voice was soft and welcoming.

"Oh no, don't worry. I wasn't paying attention to it either way. I don't think this is my cup of tea."

"Oh? Can I recommend a book then?" She asked as she sat down across from me.

I nodded and watched as she grabbed a few books from behind her. I took this time to admire her features. Her sharp jawline complemented her cheekbones and her full lips.

"God, why is everyone in this prison so goddamn hot?" I thought to myself as I smiled at the girl.

"Okay so— Do I have something on my face?"

She asked, chuckling as she turned around and caught my staring. I blushed and shook my head no. Mentally slapping myself for getting caught.

"Anyway, I have a few books here that you might like. They are one of my favorites and honestly they're the only few good books in here."

I looked at the books and picked one up. Reading the title I giggled.

"I didn't know they had Harry Potter here... If they do why bring me the Goblet of Fire and not the first one?"

She scratched the back of her neck and looked at the book. "Well... the Goblet of Fire is the best book in the Harry Potter series."

"I guess we agree on something." I smiled and put the book on the table. Looking up I extended my hand to her. "I'm Y/N Y/L/N."

"Poussey Washington at your service." She joked and shook my hand with a friendly smile.

"Thank you for the book Poussey. I'll remember to give it back when I finish."

"No problem Y/N if you ever have trouble finding something good just tell me."

I nodded and stood up, grabbing the book and letting Poussey mark it down. I smiled at her and waved bye.

"I'll see you around Y/N."

I finally got a job and now I'm officially an electrical worker. The best part is that I'm working with Nicky AND with Ramos's best friend, which will help me try and talk to her again.

I jumped up excited as I began walking towards the room provided for said job. Near the building I saw Nicky talking with some blonde haired chick. I shrugged and walked up to them.

"Yo Nicky, how are you?"

"Ah y'know the usual." She shrugged and then looked at the other girl. "Y/L/N this is Tricia, she's also like a daughter to my mom- well your mom."
