I awoke at the ass crack of Dawn and slipped out of bed careful not to wake Tim or the babies. I quietly got undressed and closed the bathroom door before turning the light on. I climbed in the shower carefully washing my hair and my hands body. Humming a song quietly to myself. When I felt to big warm familiar hands grab my waist. I turned around smiling up at him. "Good morning." He whispered kissing my neck.
"Well good morning." I leaned into his touch and smiled.
"I got to go to work. I won't be long. I just need to do the morning meeting and grab some files and I'll be home by lunch for the day." I groaned a little.
"Tim you don't have to keep rushing home... I can hold down the fort with the help of Tim and Jackson."
"Well, I just feel like if your not working I shouldn't."
"But your job is way more important than me. Speaking of my job who has my idiot rookie?" I raised and eyebrow.
"Him and the other rookie are being tossed around and riding the desk for the time being. If you guys miss plain clothes day Or they fail we will give them a 30 day retest due to extenuating circumstances. It's all worked out with IA. They feel terrible for ignoring me when I told the Mary was not so virgin after all." I laughed a little at his joke.
He started kissing me and well you know the rest. Once we were finished and drying off I got threw on sweats and went to the kitchen.
"Morning gentlemen!" I greeted.
"Morning Luce, how'd you sleep?" Nolan asked.
"Good how was messing up my kitchen?" I asked sewing crumbs and dropped food on the floor and counter.
"Sorry. I'll clean that right up." I laughed and Nolan took a few strides over taking the cloth from my hand.
"Your extra chipper this morning. Any reason why?" Jackson asked coming and sitting on one of the breakfast stools. I handed them both a cup of coffee and myself.
"Oh I just feel like today's going to be a good day." Tamara stepped out of the bedroom she's using til it's safe for her to be downstairs. We put an alarm on the door and extra locks as well as an extra lock at the door leading to the basement.
"Morning." She mumbled. "Coffee." She took the cup from my hand and sat down beside Jackson.
"No I wasn't drinking that." I said getting another cup and starting another cup.
"Hey hey hey, Harper is hereee." Nyla walked in and I felt a little overwhelmed by all the people but I felt safe.
"Okay I cannot wait til this is over and our house is quiet again." Tim came out of our room handing me the baby monitor.
"Well me and Jackson were just leaving but where is your partner?" Tim asked Nyla.
"Oh yeah, she's outside on the phone. It's all good go get some sleep." She pointed to the door. Jackson handed me his now empty cup and Nolan did the same.
"See you later boys." I yelled as they walked off.
"Hey I'll bring dinner have a good day." John said closing the door.
"Well that was crazy." I said grabbing the eggs to start breakfast. "You guys hungry?"
"Yeah starving babe." Tim grabbed the paper and started reading it while Nyla and Bishop said they were going to check out around the house and the security system and Tamara went back to bed.
After breakfast Tim left and the kids were still asleep so I made my way to the living room and Nyla and Bishop said they'd go sit in the mud room and give me some space. Which I was grateful for because as much I loved feeling safe but I felt watched constantly.
"Hey we're going to walk the block look for any signs."
"Okay thanks for the heads up." I smiled and waved a hand off going back to my chick flick on the TV.
I heard a noise from the kitchen and Kujo lifted his head to. I grabbed the baby monitor both kids were asleep in my room so I stood up and Kujo took off and I heard him barking. I quickly walked to see a man dressed in all black in the kitchen.
"What do you want." I asked shakily. The man said nothing and walked closely to me. I went move to restrain him and he counteracted my move quickly knocking me to the ground. Another man walked in the room quickly grabbing me up before I had the chance to even move.
I struggled against him as the other guy went room to room. I felt my heart drop.
"Hey, the silent alarm went... HEY LET HER GO." Nyla yelled grabbing her gun.
"The kids." I croaked out as the guy wrapped his arm around my throat.
Bishop went towards the movement of the other guy.
"Drop her or ill shoot." Nyla said evilly.
"It's not her we want so here." He pushed me hard towards Harper where I tripped and clattered to the floor making a run for it. Nyla took after him.
"You aren't getting my kids." I stood up quickly running to assist Bishop. I saw Lila in that creeps hands and I gasped. I felt a lump in my throat and fear consumed my whole body. They guy didn't appear armed and both hands were clearly not holding a gun.  I lunged forward and tackled the guy. We wrestled around tossing each other and punching and kicking continually. This guy was adamant but I wanted to get him away from the kids before knocking him out. Bishop was trying to move him but he was just plain ignoring her. Using any weapons but the taser right now is dangerous, but even that is not safe because how much he is moving. Thats when I heard sirens and sighed relief as the guy froze and I finally laid the perfect hit to knock him out.
"The silent alarm was triggered what's going on!" Tim ran in. Bishop took over cuffing our guy as I ran to Lila and Tim followed.
"Hey hey it's okay baby." I said walking over to Logan. Lila ran to Tim crying out daddy and I grabbed Logan cradling him to my chest defensively. We all moved together and wrapped into a family hug.
"Get them to holding and neither of them speak to anyone til I get there." Tim steps away from us and yells out the door. "Nyla you stay here and watch that no one else comes. Get Lopez to the station and I'll be there as soon as possible."
"You got it boss." He strolls back over and pulls me and the kids down into the bed with them.
"I'm done sitting around. Help me get the kids dressed and call Wes to meet us at Midwilshire." I stand up fiercely going to change.
"I got this babe. Just protect the kids."  Tim puts his hands on my shoulders and rubs them gently.
"The station is the safest place for them right now." I snap.
