Alison's POV
I see the girl from the school gate and I know she's probably up to no good. She wears skinny jeans with a leather jacket and she's leaning against the wall smoking a cigarette. She laughs with her blonde friend who squats next to her, also smoking. The two get glances from the other students but they're not glances of disapproval, but rather awe. It's amazing sometimes how people look up the weirdest role-models. Even the teachers cast a blind eye to the two girls who are smoking to their heart's content.
I know I shouldn't do anything risky considering it's my first day here at Rosewood High but honestly, I just can't stand smokers. And I can't stand people who think they're better than everyone else, so I guess I really can't stand these two girls which are clearly the queen bees around here. I'm usually quiet and reserved but I still confront the two girls, "I don't think you should be smoking here. It's against the school rules." The brunette gives me a death stare and I know why people steer clear of these two trouble-makers. The murderous look on her face makes me almost regret confronting her and her friend. Almost. Not quite though because if I hadn't confronted her that day, none of this would've happened...
