"Now look who we got here," someone said and you looked up from cleaning the deck. You saw John B and JJ on the boat heading towards you.
"Pope, it's John B and JJ," you whispered to your brother hoping your father wouldn't hear.
"We have a safety meeting, attendance is mandatory," John B said into his shoulder like there was a mike there. You rolled your eyes at the boys silliness and went back to cleaning before your father noticed you had stopped.
"Ugh, we can't pops got us on lockdown," Pope told them, as he walked closer to them.
Now it was JJ's turn to talk into his shoulder "your dads a pussy, over". Both you and Pope laughed at his comment. "I heard that, you little bastard" you heard your father say and you turned to look at him.
"We need your kids," John B explained.
"Yeah and island rules say that the day after a hurricane is a free day," JJ added in causing you to snort.
"Who the hell made that up," your dad asked. "Um I think it was the Pentagon, we have security clearance," JJ lied. "Yeah pops, JJ's got a card," you said trying to help.
"Do you think I'm stupid," he said angrily.
"We'll do it tomorrow," Pope said and motioned to you to run to the boat. "No no," pops said as I dropped the broom and started running towards the boat.
"Y/n don't you get in that boat!" He yelled at you as you neared the boat, and that's when Pope took off too. "Don't you dare get in that boat son!" Pops yelled at Pope as I hopped in the boat and Pope followed right after.
"Bring your asses back here!" He yelled at us again "Your going to keep on working," he continued.
"I promise we'll do it tomorrow, love you pops!" you reassured him and he finally sighed in defeat. "Love you too I guess," he mumbled but loud enough so we could hear.
Pope gave he a high-five and we all cheered.
After a bit of time we finally reached Kiaras house and she had already exited her house and was walking down the steps.
"Ooo what ya got there," JJ asked curiously.
"Oh ya know just some carrot sticks and yogurts and maybe some beers but I'm not sure," she said making JJ excited.
Once she climbed aboard we headed out to start fishing
