the day started well for nishinoya. he woke up early, ready for one more day of work at the coffee shop. nishinoya managed to watch the sunrise while walking down the street and opening up the shop and damn, he felt so at peace.

now, people who knew highschool noya wouldn't believe that he worked at a coffee shop. it just seemed a 'too calm thing' for nishinoya yū to be doing. well, thing is, he was actually the owner! as soon as noya and tanaka finished highschool, they had no idea of what the hell to do with their lives. so the two best friends started by working at a coffee shop and bakery, things worked out well and the two decided it would be a good idea to open a café themselves. and so they did, struggling with finances and taxes at the beginning but after one year and half here they were, doing good and even with some usual clients stopping by almost everyday.

today was monday, after an extended weekend due to a holiday on last friday. nishinoya entered the coffee shop at exactly 5:30am to prepare everything. tanaka was currently busy with finding a baker for them so he was taking the day off. noya put the chairs in place, cleaned up a little, turned on the radio, looked at everything just as a reminder of where all the things were and by 5:45am the other workers started showing up.

yamaguchi was the first one to show up there, always a little earlier than the others. "hey boss! i'll just get the apron in the back and then help you with preparing stuff." he spoke, nishinoya just grinning and nodding at him as an answer.

after a little while, terushima and tsukishima were there too, it was 6am and all of them were ready to work. nishinoya called a small reunion just before having to open, gathering all four of them behind the counter. "okay, ryū is taking a day off today to look for a permanent baker." he informed first, yamaguchi and terushima smiling excitedly while tsukishima was just unreadable. "so i will be doing cashier and you guys take care of doing everything else. i don't care how, organize yourselves, i just need things done." nishinoya grinned again, he liked giving everyone freedom to do things their own way.

nishinoya went to open the door, unlocking and turning the little white card so it read 'open' on the outside. he walked back to stand behind the cashier for a little as a woman already entered the place. well, this was suzie, she's usually this early to grab her coffee anyways.

a few hours passed and it was 8am when nishinoya was caught off guard. a tall, long haired man entered the coffee shop. it seemed like everything was in slow motion for noya at that moment.

he's so handsome! pretty...? he's pretty handsome, oh god.

the man approached the cashier, chuckling at himself as he put his clothes back in the right places, he must have been in a hurry before coming here. "good morning... um, i want a frappuccino, please." nishinoya didn't notice it, but he was staring, with a big grin on his face. it made the man a bit uncomfortable. "...and a cupcake, whatever cupcake." when he was finished, nishinoya nodded, big grin still there.

oohh he's so cute... wait- is this big guy blushing?! what?! i made a big handsome guy blush just by smiling?!?! hell yeah!!

"just give me a minute." nishinoya informed, chucking a little as he saw the man nod as an answer. he turned around, going to grab the cupcake, noya wanted to give this man one of his personal favourites. problem at the moment was: the cupcake was on the top shelf.

nishinoya managed to open the little door, stretching himself a little and totally not wanting to embarrass himself in front of a cute guy, he quickly gave up. "yam-chan, grab me a cupcake!" he called, making yamaguchi laugh, he knew why nishinoya couldn't get it. "hey! i'm your boss, don't just do that!" he complained, grabbing the cupcake from yamaguchi's hand with a frown on his face. "i- i'm sorry." that was all yamaguchi managed to say, sighing to keep containing the laughter. "whatever, go tell terushima to make a frappuccino." and with that, yamaguchi nodded and nishinoya went back to the counter.

nishinoya could tell the man before him was also trying to contain his laughter, just like yamaguchi. he blushed, placing the carefully cupcake on a small plate and finally looking up at the other after that. "the frappuccino will be ready in a while..." nishinoya muttered, he felt like he just made a fool out of himself. the man nodded with a small smile, letting the cupcake stay on the counter as he probably just preferred to get the things together and only eat while drinking. "so you're the manager here?" the man asked, obviously just trying to make small talk. and nishinoya leaned with his forearms on the counter, smiling at him. "i'm the owner actually, why?" he replied, this guy did badly pretend to be confident at this. "well, it's a nice place. just curious." he hummed and looked around a little.

and before nishinoya could keep talking, terushima placed the just finished frappuccino on the counter, next to the cupcake. nishinoya glared at his employee, he knew damn well what was happening right now, why should he interrupt? terushima shrugged, smirking at him and just walking away. nishinoya rolled his eyes and grabbed a pen, he bluntly and not minding if anyone saw, wrote down on the man's napkin his own name and phone number.

it was all fast after that, the stranger going back to his previous hurry and just paying and walking away with the food. nishinoya sighed, smiled, and squirmed a little when no one saw. he didn't even know his name but hopefully he'd receive a nice text from him and a hang out, or a date, or whatever the handsome stranger would offer. honestly, nishinoya just wanted to be able to look at him again.
