The Coaches Daughter

"So listen Lu, this is going to be a big step for both of us" Dad said as we pulled up to school, I looked at him like he was a mad man
"Dad, its highschool. Not rocket science, i've done this plenty of times to understand what to do. You have nothing to worry about" I said and he chuckled
"Just stay out of trouble" He said handing me my bag
"Me trouble? Never" I smiled before hoping out of his car and heading inside
This will be the first time that I have ever gone to the school dad is coaching at but due to how small this town is, this is the only school close enough
"If it isn't the coaches daughter" Alfie said coming over to my locker
"Ohh that title" I said closing my locker
"Big shoes to live in" He replied and I chuckled
"You'd be surprised, sometimes I shock people" I said with a smile
"Oh I have no doubt that you will shock us Lucy" he chuckled
"no doubt at all" He continued with a very intrigued look

Today wasn't too bad, it's been pretty standard. First day full of first impressions, introductions and stories
I practically have ever single lesson with Alfie, Callum and Noah which is somewhat nice. being able to have those familiar faces do make a huge difference, especially starting over all over again
"I don't see the problem here" Noah said flicking through his Instagram
"The problem is that you shouldn't be thinking those kind of things over girls like that" Alfie said
"Girls like what? They are hot" Noah replied
"Buddy, they are a lot younger then us" Callum said
"no no they aren't" He said looking back at the picture
"Let me see" I asked and he nodded showing me the photo they were talking about
"Noah, they are a lot younger then they look. I can promise you that, girls can use makeup to make themselves look older though" I explained and he looked back at the photos probably trying to decide whether or not to believe me or not
"I don't know" He said before he eventually settled on getting off of Instagram and locking his phone
"Plus man, there are plenty of fish in the sea, starting with anyone at our school" Alfie said
"Yeah sure" He chuckled looking around
"Whats wrong with the girls here?" I asked
"Nothing per say" Callum said
"They just don't really peak his interest" Alfie said 
"Why not?" I asked
"I like the chase" Noah said smiling, I chuckled a little
"Ohhh you are one of those" I asked and the boys looked at me confused
"one of those?" Callum asked
"The ones who don't like the easy game, you like the long game" I said and Noah frantically nodded
"Exactly" Noah said still keeping Callum and Alfie confused

|Alfie's POV|

Practice started and it was like we had only just finished last season, it had felt like no time had passed and I was more then ready for this season
"Right team come in!" Coach said and obviously we all listened
"Are we ready for a great practice?" He asked and we all nodded
"This season is going to be different, we are going to win it all" he continued and we all cheered
"There is nothing that is going to stand in our way" he said smiling

We did a few practice games and soon practice was about to end, the boys and I looked up at the bleachers to see Lucy sat there, most likely waiting on her dad
"Team huddle" Coach called bringing us all in again
"That was incredible" he said
"If we continue to play like that I have no worries about us progressing as far as we can" He continued
Just as we thought practice was going to end Coach started speaking again
"I think that we are all a great team and I don't give many rules but I have one big one" He said looking at a range of us before his eyes landed on me and the boys
"Whats the rule?" Noah asked
"Stay away from Lucy" He said making a lot of us talk
"that is all I ask, no going near her at all in any way or you'll be off this team faster then you can say pop" He said really homing in on the threat, the boys looked between the three of us
Was this threat legit? I didn't want to have to chose between Lucy or football. It isn't fair on her that her father is doing this.. And to make matters worse, i don't think she even knows he is doing this
