Kurt woke up, showered and dressed, before taking his breakfast upstairs to eat. He couldn't lie and say that he wasn't nervous, even terrified to see him.
He looked at the clock on his bedside table: 8:15am, and then he heard it. Yet again there was a knock on the door. He was here.
Flashback
"C'mon baby, we're going out. I've got a surprise for you!" Blaine said, squeaking slightly in excitement. His puppy eyes almost possessing Kurt.
"Awe, what did I ever do to deserve you, B?" Kurt replied, cupping the others cheek in his hand.
"Being you. You complete me Kurtie, you let me love you everyday, and I hope, you love me back. After everything you've been through you are so unbelievably strong, you fight for every day as though it may be your last. You move me Kurt, and I don't know what I'd do without you. I don't think I could survive without you, baby."
"Okay, first, of course I love you B, you're my world. And second, I don't think I'd be able to live without you either, so don't you dare leave me."
Kurt's eyes began to water slightly. He truly didn't know what he'd do without his boy.
He didn't want to dwell on the moment so lead his other half outside, still clueless as to where they were going.
Blaine giggled as he saw his boy try to act as though he knew where they were going, but constantly having to look back at him.
Eventually they made it to the car, Blaine driving because who knew where Kurt would try to go if he was behind the wheel.
Seen as the blonde boy was had no idea where they were going, he decided to connect his phone to the cars radio and play music they could sing along to.
He was looking for one song in particular, his eyes watered at the sight of it: Their Song.
Kurt pressed play, causing Blaine to reach for his hand, bringing it to his own thigh.
The two boys shared a glance out of the corner of their eyes as the first notes played, and the lyrics flowed beautifully from both of them.
The day I first met you
You told me, you'd never fall in love
But now that I get you
I know fear is what it really wasNow here we are
So close, yet so far
Haven't I passed the test
When will you realize
That baby, I'm not like the rest
Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to waste
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a breakOh yeah, yeah
On Sunday you went home alone
There were tears in your eyes
I called your cell phone, my loveBut you did not reply
The world is ours, if we want it
We can take it if you just take my hand
There's no turning back nowBaby, try to understand
Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrongLike you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to waste
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a breakOh yeah, yeah
When your lips are on my lips
And our hearts beat as one
But you slip out of my fingertipsEvery time you run, whoa-oh-whoa-oh-oh
Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrongLike you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to wasteSo let me give your heart a break
'Cause you've been hurt before
I can see it in your eyes
You try to smile it away, some things you can't disguise
Don't wanna break your heart
Maybe I can ease the ache, the ache
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh yeah, yeahAs the song came to the end, they had reached their destination. It was stunning.
Blaine got out of the car and quickly walked around to Kurt’s side, opening the door for him.
The boys found their way into each others arms, walking hand in hand, taking in the breath taking view.
Blaine had brought them to their spot. The special place that would soon be gone. The place that would cause nightmares rather than dreams.
They wandered around to the front of the car, leaning on it slightly and cuddling into one another. They looked out to all the lights as the sun began to slowly set. The temperature cooled and a slow breeze began to pick up.
Blaine noticed Kurt shiver slightly, obviously trying not to show how cold he was.
Blaine stood carefully, walking around to the back of the car to get a large blanket from the boot.
As he walked back over, he wrapped himself in it and scooped Kurt into his arms. Holding him closer than ever, never wanting to let go of his beautiful boy.
"I love you so much B"
"I love you too baby boy"
Little did they know, in just under a month this would all be destroyed. If only the moment never ended.
End of Flashback
"Kurt!" Rachel shouted, "They're here!"
The boy carefully sat up, picking up his now empty bowl before slowly walking down the stairs and into the kitchen, ignoring what was going on in the living room.
He put his bowl down and went to greet the others.
Then he saw him. He hadn't changed one bit.
He was still the boy Kurt loved. The boy Kurt could never stop loving.
Before he knew it his feet carried him away, back up the stairs into the safety of his room. Quinn called after him, but he didn't look back.
Once he made it to his room, he closed the door and the sobs began to escape his trembling lips.
