Kelly's POV, January 29th 1988
In the last few weeks, Doc had sorted out rehabilitation for the guys, he'd done that a little over two weeks ago, he's got them in as urgent and they'd been in there now for four days, today being the fifth, but they'd been there four full days of ten weeks. I hadn't seen Vince yet, Doc advised me it was best to leave it a few days between them going in and me visiting Vince.
Out of all four of them Nikki was going to be suffering the most but Doc was adamant on me giving them a few days, I had and now I was preparing to take the drive to go see Vin and see how everyone's fairing up.
Vince's parents were over to look after Allie while I was checking in, I'd take her with me but not today, I think it was best this time that I went alone.
It had been a little difficult to get Vince to go the day they were meant to get checked in. Why? Not because he was wanting to back out or anything, it was just because Alessia had caught a cold, a pretty bad one and he'd not wanted to leave me to deal with her alone, but I didn't mind and he had to get himself clean, that was what was important and anyway, by the time Vince had to go to rehab, she was starting to recover.
By this morning, she was pretty much back to normal though still acting like she was on her death bed, she was still sniffling a little and had a few coughs throughout the day but nothing at all major and nothing which requires medicating.
I'm sure Vince will ask about her pretty much off the bat so I have good news on that front. The drive to the rehab centre was a little arduous, not gonna lie but worth it when I got there, it was a little intimidating actually, I wasn't sure why it felt that way, but it did.
I went to the visitors reception desk, gave my first and last name, signed a visitors log and said who I was here to see, then I had to wait for the receptionist to call wherever Vince was to get someone to tell him I was here then for him to get sent to the appropriate room for us to talk in then I was given a pass and told to just 'follow the signs' which always ends up being more difficult than it needs to be but I didn't get lost luckily, and I made it to the door I was meant to, using the pass to get in and when I did, I quickly saw Vince sat at a table in a rather nicely decorated room considering where we were.
He wasn't really paying attention when I walked in, he was taking a particular interest in the table so I got his attention by observing something about him "Have you changed clothes at all since you arrived? Because it hasn't escaped my notice they're the same clothes you were in when you got here."
Instantly, Vince looked at me and smiled the second he realised I was stood there "Can't be bothered to change, too much effort."
"Dare I come over?"
"I don't smell if that's what you're implying, I shower, even without you having to tell me too. I know you think I'm a lost cause without you but I can do some things for myself."
"I beg to differ sometimes." I say back as I walk toward the singer, going to sit opposite him, when he reached over and stopped me from sitting down and I raise an eyebrow at him asking what his deal is.
"What?"
"You're seriously gonna sit there and not even give me a kiss first? We haven't seen each other in four days. That's insulting."
