It was compassion that caused the mass revolt,

Yet no one seemed to care,

As battle cries,

Of blinded eyes,

Slowly filled the air,

It was confidence that caused the mass to charge,

Though panic filled their veins,

And in the light,

Of the black of night,

They seemed to lose their ways,

It was pride that caused the banner to fall,

within the rising flames,

As they could not save,

And never forgave,

They took it to their graves,

It was love that caused the hand to kill,

But it did not last long,

As the final goodbyes,

Of the one who dies,

Whispers until they were gone.
