After noticing he wasn't there I turned to Kate who had an expression of fear on her complexion. She was starting to breath more heavily. She was starting to panic. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers in an attempt to calm her.
Then I was pulled up by my arm and Kate started screaming.
Skull mask tried to stab me but before he could I grabbed his arm
"RUN" I yelled to Kate who was just standing there in a form of shock. She just stood there.
Skull mask tried to stab me again except this time it went through my body. Suddenly he was pulled off me. I quickly turned around to see Kate who was hopped up on his back repeatedly stabbing him with a knife that we had grabbed earlier.
He retaliated pushing Kate off of him and onto the ground. I pushed him away from her and tackled him to the ground grabbing his hand which was holding the knife and pinning it to the floor. Looking back at Kate who was now standing up
"RUN" I yelled at her. She looked at me with distress written all over her. I looked at her once last time mouthing the words
I Love You
She looked at me one last time mouthing the words
I Love You Too
Before running away in the opposite direction.
By the time she was gone I was struggling to hold down Skull mask he was fighting back. Accidentally letting one of his arm go he pushed me back. Quickly hopping to his feet he gripped his knife and pushed it into me while I was still on the floor. Letting out a painful scream Skull mask grabbed me holding me up above his head. He threw me against a counter making me bump into some machine on the way.
Turning it on
My face collided with the counter. I felt myself getting dizzy. My body was starting to go limp but the adrenaline flowing through my body refusing to let me blackout. All I could do was stay still.
Skull Mask grabbed me again turning me around and pushing me against the counter once more. He stabbed me over and over again. I couldn't react. My body wouldn't let me. I couldn't even scream for help. All I felt was a strong burning heat in my stomach every time the knife pushed through my skin.
He threw me against the machine. I was laying down against the machine. I looked back to see the bread slicer on. My vision was still blurry. My head was pounding I was defenseless. Skull Mask was trying to push me into the bread slicer while I was still in this state. Closing my eyes I accepted my fate. I was fine as long as I knew Kate was safe. Just as I could feel the Machine about to hit my head.
It stopped
opening my eyes I could barely see. Kate was on Skull Mask back trying to fight him. She was hitting his head with an object I couldn't make out. Skull mask ran back against the counter making Kate fall off and onto the ground. With the time Kate had given me my senses were starting to come back.
I could see how Skull Mask was pinning Kate to the floor about to stab her while I layed on the machine. Quickly getting up I tackled Skull Mask to the floor forcing him to drop his knife. Kate pulled me back as she knocked a cart on top of him. Making him unable to get back up.
I could hear Simon yelling looking at where the yelling was coming from I could see him running as Nightwing runs behind.
Simon stopped looking at me. My hoodie that was clean not even and hour ago had holes with blood still coming out little by little. It was drenched in my own blood and sweat. I could see Nightwing getting closer to him getting ready to swing.
"DUCK" I yelled to Simon who just stood there looking confused. Josh understood almost immediately what I meant was haste to push Simon out the way. Barely dodging the Ax that would have come down on his head.
Nightwing got his ax stuck in the floor. Simon quickly ran towards me
"Are you ok" He asked worried and panicked while staring at the hoodie
"For now yea" I answered
"Cmon we have to go" Kate exclaimed while pointing to Nightwing who was about to get his ax back from the floors tight grip. We all left and ran into an aisle where we saw Josh on the other side. Slowly backing up to reveal Ruby Lane in front of him. Looking behind us to start running in the other direction revealed Skull mask.
He must've gotten unpinned
"Were trapped!" Simon exclaimed looking back and forth between the two killers
"No shit" I yelled back
"Deena were running out of time!" Josh yelled hoping Deena might hear
As the killers started to run towards us I pulled Kate behind me as the Skull Mask was about to stab me
"NO" I could hear Kate yell as I kept her behind me where she would be safe
Then nothing
Opening my eyes the killers were gone. Looking over to Simon who was just as shocked as I. Kate looked up at me. Confusion written all over her. Then we heard a yell
"Help me! Help me bring her back!"
It was Deena. She must have killed Sam just in time. Running to where she was I could see that Sam was on the ground and Deena was stabbing her with EpiPens. We all quickly kneeled down and started opening the EpiPens and stabbing Sam with them.
Minutes later Sam opened her eyes coughing up water.
Quickly looking at Kate. She was already staring at me smiling. I smiled back before leaning in. Making out foreheads touch.
"I Love You" I spoke softly
"I Love You Too" She replied saying in a whisper so only I could hear
Leaning in I kissed her
Knowing this wouldn't be the last time in a long time.
