CHAPTER TWENTY

I woke up to the alarm clock on my bedside table I slowly open my eyes to see how the clock shows 8 am. I could feel that it's not beside me, which felt really weird because he's always beside me but this time he's not. He called me like 5 am to say that he had already gone to work.

That man is so busy. But I understand he's gotta do what he's gotta do.

I've only posted myself to get out of bed and go to the bathroom to start my shower, I go up to the mirror and I look like a mess, my hairs all messy,  my eyes are all red a really dark eye bags I'm a whole mess.

I stayed up till 1 am because Parker wouldn't sleep and I read to him so many bedtime stories I lost count.

After the shower I came out and wrapped myself in a towel and grabbed a hairbrush and started brushing my hair, after that, I brushed my teeth. I'm now dressed and walked my way downstairs.

I saw Parker already downstairs on the couch watching TV.

"You're up, how, you slept like 1 am" I looked really confused but, I didn't say anything more. I made some breakfast For the both of us and then went back on the couch.

We're chilling watching TV while peacefully eating our breakfast. When suddenly someone busted into my house "newlywed couple in the house" I didn't have to turn around and I knew exactly who is at the door.

"Auntie Alissa, Uncle Martin" Parker got off the couch and ran up to them and gave them a big hug. "Hey little bud, nice to see you again," Martin said messing up his hair.

Martin and Alissa Joined us as we watched TV. I suddenly got a phone call from Teddy that something has happened. I started to worry.

"You okay, Maya?" Alissa asked me. I got up and quickly grabbed my bag and went put the door.

Oops, I forgot.

I opened the door "would you mind taking care of Parker while I'm gone?" I asked them. They immediately agreed and I rushed back out the door.

I arrived at Jones Tower and where I used to live. I go on the elevator and put on the top floor. The elevator door opens and I walk out the elevator, I see some familiar faces and I smiled at them. I look around and Teddy and Trevor aren't there. I'm starting to get really confused, what's going on?

I knock on the door and I heard a voice "come in" and I immediately who that voice belongs to. I opened the door and my jaw dropped to the ground "speechless, you know" Vinnie said really pleased with what he's done.

There are red roses everywhere, candles surrounding the place, and he's wearing all black, black jeans and a black button-up with only two unbuttoned showing his tattoo on his chest.

I can't speak I'm just too shocked and surprised by what is happening right now.

He grabs a rose and walks up to me, then grabs my waist and pulls me towards him. "Why you're not saying anything, love?" He asked softly. I started to stutter "I-I'm just amazing at what you put together." I said looking at him right in the eyes.

He slowly lets go of me and takes my hand "it's all for you, my dear." He then softly kisses my hand. Him and these names. "So, what's this about?" I asked.

If he's going to propose, I'm ready 100%.

"Ever since Martin and Alissa got married last week I was thinking us and who how I want to spend the rest of my life and have more kids." He started. I was thinking about us too. "You're the most sexiest and most beautiful women I've ever seen." Oh my, I love it when he says that it just makes me feel warm inside.

He gets a little box out of his pocket and gets down on one knee. I covered my mouth in shock, I can't believe he's doing this. In his own office I mean, if we were stranded on an island together and he proposed I would still say yes. "Will you marry me?" He asked, he looked up at me waiting for me, hoping I would say yes. "Yes, I'll marry you" he puts the ring on me and he gets up off the ground and lifts me up and spins me around like he's the most happiest man alive.

"I'm the most happiest man alive!" He shouted so loud and he doesn't hear it. We both laughed. I'm so happy that he's happy and I'm happy that we're happy you get it.

Do I finally engaged how weird is it that, we're engaged, it feels so amazing that someone you absolutely love and adore that you want to be with for the rest of your life and I'm so glad it's him
