EPILOGUE

SIX YEARS LATER

Let me fill you in on what's been happening these last few years. It's been three years since Vinnie and I got married, Parker turned ten yesterday and Vinnie bought a skateboard, typically. My mother got remarried a month ago each is really exciting I'm really happy for her.

His name is Derek and he's a great man for her. I call him by his name and he's okay with it. It'll be weird if a thirty-year-old woman calling her stepfather dad. It's weird. To me at least.

He's a nice man, but that does mean he'll never replace my father.

Today I'm meeting Parker's principal and I'm nervous. I look through my clothes in my side of the closet and I can't find anything to wear to meet the school principal.

"I can't find anything to wear," I whined. Then Vinnie came in looking sexy as ever. His hair is all fresh and open and his black jeans and a navy blue shirt with buttons undone and the sleeves are round up showing his tattoos.

"My love whatever's comfortable you'll look fine." He comes closer putting his hands on my waist looking down at me.

"Why you do got to be so nice?" I made a pouty face.

"Only to my baby." He said.

I pushed Vinnie out of our room so I could get ready for the day. After I got ready I went downstairs and I saw Vinnie and Parker playing chess. There were so focused they didn't hear walk in.

"And....checkmate" Parker smiled so proudly of himself that he won and not his dad.

I smiled as I walked closer to them. Vinnie has his mouth wide open in shock.

"How?" He's now confused and still in shock.

"Mama helped me. She's really good" Parker said.

Vinnie looked up at me and I smiled.

"You helped him instead of me," he shook his head.

I've been teaching Parker how to play chess and improved so much.

I laughed.

"Aww love, you jealous," I said with my arm crossed giving him a smirk.

"No." He said denying it.

"Sure." I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

We just dropped off Parker at mothers house and we are on our to Parker's school.

We both got out of the car and immediately all eyes were on us. I heard all these parents talking about us, then one woman came up to me and smiled and introduced herself.

"Hi I'm Lucy and I just wanted to tell you that you two look fairly young to have a ten-year-old son," Lucy said then gave Vinnie something to him and winked at him and left.

I looked and It's is her number.

Vinnie scrunched up and threw in the bin.

"It's always you, my love." He kisses my forehead and we continue walking toward the entrance.

We now inside waiting to be called. I grabbed his hand so tight I think I might break it and I'm also sweating. We met his principal sometimes and he's really scary like really scary. Terrifying.
