Chapter 36: The Gift of Resurrection

A chill froze my spine and my wings shivered as I looked at Philza's hat and Kristen's sash. I placed my husband down and stood up. "You will have to leave that body eventually... Dream... You better fight harder to take over before I kick your ass.", I smiled. Amon looked confused before I rushed at him. My sword broke as it hit something, the heavily damaged mask that my friend loved using laid there in the snow. Amon had left the area, most likely teleporting back to Triox to plan his next move. I walked back to the items and held them close, I looked at Techno and went back to his side, trying my best to wake him. Sally and Fundy were already by my side helping me with my husband, he was unconscious due to the many wounds he received in his fight with Amon.

"The army of Triox are all under our control... Only a few soldiers of Valtameri survived along with Ponk.", reported Sally. She helped me heal Techno while Fundy ordered our army to start heading back with the remaining soldiers for either kingdom. "What happened to my parents?", I asked. Sally froze before she bit her lip, she began to explain how they were attacked by Puffy and Niki while we had left. "They ordered all of us to head to the monument when I headed back... They were gone... Schlatt had arrived along with Karl. Niki was holding Puffy down with her magic, it seems like the Goddess is being controlled... All we know is that Philza and Kristen have vanished into thin air after Puffy threw something at them.", finished Sally. Relief took over my body, my parents weren't dead but that didn't change the fact that they were in Amon's grasp. I asked about the goddess and was told that Schlatt had them along with Karl under surveillance while Ranboo looked at their memories.

Fundy came over with Carl, he helped me tie Techno on there while we headed back. I watched as our army marched towards Veri, they looked worried and I couldn't blame them. The trip back to Veri was quiet, when we arrived at the gates of the kingdom, I could see the damage that was caused by Puffy. Eret, who rode at my side, looked apologetically at me. "It's okay... Nothing that we couldn't fix.", I smiled as I patted the King's shoulder. Eret nodded before explaining what had happened and why his help had arrived late. "He came to my castle and offered immense power... He even offered to release me of this curse...", whispered Eret. I kept my gaze forward as we waited for all the soldiers to dismount. "I couldn't accept it... The death of innocents just for my selfishness... I refused and in return, Amon destroyed Solis sparring only the castle we were in... My kingdom is gone, (Y/n)...", finished Eret. My eyes widened and my gaze was on the King, tears fell down his face as he confessed this. Eret had sacrificed his people to aid our kingdom, my arms wrapped around him before he sobbed loudly.

Once Eret calmed down, we walked over to the soldiers of our kingdoms. "The castle took quite the beating...", I said. Fundy nodded before telling me that we could rebuild it for the next generation. "You're right.", I agreed, a small smile escaped me. Some soldiers looked at me and waited, I decided that now was the best time to thank them. Our army listened to my words of reassurance and hope, they all seemed to relax as Sally and Fundy agreed. "We must never forget those who have sacrificed more than us in this war... We might all lose our lives since we are going against something stronger than us Gods... Yet, we must never lose faith in our strength... We must prevail against Amon. I hope to keep counting with all of you.", I smiled. The soldiers began to cheer as I finished, one by one they vouch to keep fighting in order to defeat Amon and maybe once again take back the peace we once had. One by one, we all entered the secret entrance from the castle to the ocean monument. I stayed behind until I had to go with Techno, I wanted to make sure everyone entered before us. "What did I miss?", asked a familiar voice. My arms wrapped around Techno as he finally regained consciousness, he hummed before he held me closer.

I began to explain what had happened and reassure him that my parents were captured. "They're not dead... I'm so glad...", he sighed into my shoulder. We carefully entered before I sealed the entrance, it was better to seal it so no one could enter from there. "We still have the ocean entrance right?", asked Techno. I nodded before we began to walk down the tunnel, once we made it to the exit, we were engulfed in a hug. White and black hair tickled my face before I smiled and wrapped my arms around my son. He was shaking and we both held him close trying our best to comfort him. He had suffered so much since Tommy's death and it made me heartbroken to see him that way. "I told him that both of you were fine but he wanted to see you.", smiled Tubbo. We all headed towards the infirmary to check on the wounded before we all entered one of the rooms to properly talk. "Mother, are you sure you're okay?", asked Ranboo. My head turned and looked up as I saw the young prince next to me. "Yes, I'm just a bit shaken up...", I confessed.
