Jordan was in the town now, hidden away in a secluded corner of the marketplace, watching as the villagers went about their daily lives. It was peaceful. It made him sick. He lifted his hand, watching as a ball formed and toyed with it absentmindedly. His eyes followed darted around, searching for the best area to begin his little 'event.' He grinned as his eyes landed on the perfect place to start.
'Captain Sprinkles Bakery huh? Well, the guy is rather annoying..'
If he did this right, he could potentially infect Sprinkles and his shop with the Taint at the same time! He raised the hand that held the ball of Taint and aimed it at one of the bakery's display windows. He just had to wait for the perfect window..
'Come on.. Hurry up 'Captain'..'
Captain Sprinkles popped into Jordan's sights, placing a small cake in the window. He quickly fired the ball, watching as it sped through the air and crashed through the window. It connected with the baker with a strange splattering noise. He looked shocked and screamed before trying to wipe it off of him. It only succeeded in getting the Taint on his hands and all over the floors.
'This'll be too easy..' Jordan thought to himself, smirking as he walked out of his corner. The villagers had, naturally, began panicking. The Taint in the bakery had began to spread, slowly creeping out the broken window and out into the rest of the market. He pulled his sword out of its sheath, twirling it in his hand as he walked towards the bakery. He stepped through the broken window and stood above Captain Sprinkles, who sat with his back against the counter. He looked up and his eyes widened at Jordan's appearance.
"Hello again, Sprinkles! Do you like the new color scheme I gave your shop?" He waved a hand at the Taint. "I think it looks nice; so much better than your old one."
"Y-you did this..?"
"Duh. Who else would? But enough about that.."
He raised the sword above his head and grinned.
"Remember when you said that there could only be one captain around here? No? I do.. And you're right! So I decided that I'd take care of the problem. One and for all.."
"N-now wait a second! I-I was only joking! Don't hu-!"
The sword was stabbed through the bakers stomach before he could finish his sentence, his blood staining the once clean blade. Jordan twisted it and jerked it out roughly, making the blood splatter onto the Tainted floor and mix with it. Sprinkles sat there, coughing and making useless attempts at stopping the bleeding. Jordan watched as his movements grew less and less desperate until they slowed all together. He grinned and turned to look at the panicking town behind him. There was still so much to do..
"Well..," he said as he stepped out of the bakery and narrowed his eyes at the few remaining villagers. "I've got some time to spare. Might as well have a bit of fun!"
He ran out of the marketplace while firing balls of Taint at random, infecting villagers and various buildings with the strange purple mass. This went on for some time and a good chunk of the town had been infected at this point and any stragglers, that hadn't fled by this point, were either dead by Jordan's sword or the Taint. Jordan stood on top of a pile of rubble from one of the houses he destroyed and smiled. Such glorious destruction! His Lady would be very pleased with him. Speaking of which, the Taint voices had been oddly silent this far, apparently allowing him to concentrate at the task at hand. Not that he minded; they got annoying pretty quickly. Jordan turned as he heard the sounds of multiple sets of footsteps running towards him.
'So. They finally decided to show up? It's about fucking time..'
He hopped off the pile of rubble and grinned at the new arrivals. He couldn't wait to show them the amazing gifts Ianite had given him! Tom, Tucker, Sonja and Wag all stopped in front of him, each wearing an expression of shock and horror. Guess they didn't like his new look.. What a shame.
"J-Jordan..? Is that you?" Sonja timidly called out.
"Of course it's me! Who the hell else would it be?" His voice sounded harsh and mocking, far from his normal kind tone of voice.
"Dude.. What the fuck happened here? What the fuck happened to you?!"
He laughed. "Isn't it obvious? Or are you all so fucking dense that you can't figure out the simplest fucking things? Ianite has chosen me for a /special/ mission! And it's been going reeeaaally great so far! See?!" He excitedly waved a hand at the destruction he's caused.
"Wait; you mean you did this?"
"Oh! So you aren't complete idiots after all! Good to know."
Tom stepped forward, despite the others sharp whispers of 'stop!' or 'Tom no!'. His hand twitched, like he wanted to reach out. He looked into Jordan's eyes, showing nothing but worry and slight.. Fear?
'Why is Tom afraid of me..? Why is everyone else scared? What happened to the town..?'
Questions swirled in his brain and his vision flashed between dark shades of indigo and clear as glass. It made his head hurt and he hissed in pain, holding his aching head between his hands.
"Jordan? Are you ok?" Tom took a step forward and the flashed increased, making Jordan step back. "Jordan? Come on, this isn't you! Just explain to us what's going on; we can help!"
"Go...'way.." He muttered, clutching his head tighter.
"What..?"
"I said.. Go AWAY!"
He looked up at Tom with animalistic rage and pointed his palms at him, preparing to fire balls of Taint at him. Luckily for Tom, his quick reflexes allowed him to dive out of the way and the balls hit a patch of un-Tainted soil quickly turning it a dark purple.
'No! I.. I could've hit Tom!'
'Good! He's useless to the mission anyway.'
'But I like Tom! I don't wanna hurt him..'
'The mission is more important than he is!'
His own voice argued back at him now, replacing the various voices from before. It was disorienting. He couldn't tell which voice to follow. They both sounded like him and they both held up good points.. He had to go. He had to get away from, Tom and his friends before he hurt them or worse.
"Jordan..?"
He gave a final conflicted look at all of them before running away, his friends calling after him.
