It was the day of Mads' party and Aubrey was getting ready for Sofia to pick her up in 20 minutes. She always sucked at picking outfits for events like this. They were too casual for her stylist, but not casual enough for her basic clothes. She finally picked her outfit right as she got a text from Sofia telling her they were out front. She hurried out of her apartment.

"Babes, you look stunning," Sofia gushed as Aubrey got into the car. Aubrey laughed and kissed her friend on the cheek.

"Right back at you," she told her friend, and she wasn't just saying it. Sofia was wearing a floral blazer that looked absolutely breathtaking. They pulled up to Madelyn and Chase's house and the valet took their car and Madelyn, who pulled them into an enormous hug greeted them.

"Oh my god, it's been so long," she laughed as she let them go. "It feels like it's been ages. I'm so glad Y'all made it. Come in, I think Y'all are the last of the guests." They made their way inside the home and greeted the people they passed by.

"I'm going to slip away to get a drink," Sofia said and before Aubrey could answer, was gone. Aubrey looked around the room for Madelyn and saw that she was on the other side talking to a blonde boy she couldn't quite make out. She made her way over since, it pained her to admit, she didn't see anyone else she knew. She had grown a bit antisocial while working on her album and the new waves of "celebrity" had missed her.

"Hey Madelyn," she said when she reached her blonde friend.

"Oh my god, there you are Aubrey, I was looking for you I wanted to introduce you to Rudy," she laughed pulling Aubrey closer. "I wanted to introduce you guys because of- Oh! I've got to go Chase is calling me from the kitchen," she exclaimed and she was gone.

"So Rudy, you're on obx right?" Aubrey asked trying to make conversation.

"Yeah that's how I know Mads," he nodded and took a sip of his drink.

"Do you know what Madelyn was gonna say before she left?" Aubrey asked a bit curious to why Madelyn wanted to introduce her to Rudy.

"She was talking about some viral fan post, I think" Rudy laughed.

"Oh I know which one she's talking about," Aubrey said remembering a post she had seen about Rudy and her that morning, that had gotten over a million likes. She pulled out her phone and looked up the post. "Here it is," she said and handed him her phone.

He laughed. "It's so strange having your every action analyzed on the internet isn't it? Something can be made out of nothing," Aubrey nodded. " So you surf?" he asked, "Maddie didn't tell me that you love surfing." Sudddenly Rudy and her were engrossed in a conversation about surfing. They really hit it off that night and even exchanged numbers. When Sofia came looking for her to leave, Aubrey felt a bit dissapointed to leave the party, something she doesn't usually feel about parties, like ever. They hugged and said goodbye to everyone they knew and were out of the door.
