Aubrey set down her phone. She was currently at a café with her best friend Sofia Crews and they were getting brunch.

"So when is the album coming out?" Sofia asked, snapping Aubrey out of her thoughts. Aubrey's lead single All I Want had been an instant hit, debuting in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, but that was 2 months ago and since then Aubrey had been quiet music wise. The entire world was awaiting her next step, including her best friend.

"I'm still recording. We don't know what song to put as my next single, so we're kinda stuck. I'm hoping before September though." Aubrey answered, taking a sip from her green smoothie. Sofia nodded. "Well Bree, Madelyn invited me to a party this saturday and I think you should come," Sofia said, putting on their most sing song voice, knowing they would have lots of convincing to do. Aubrey rolled her eyes.

"I hate parties," she laughed,

"Yes, but you love Madelyn and me. Come on you haven't seen Madelyn in two months cause of her filming schedule, please?" Sofia begged their friend and Aubrey folded. "Great I'll pick you up at eight," Sofia exclaimed, already excited to go out with their friend who almost never did.

Aubrey decided she was due for a good surf, so she grabbed her surf board and headed down to the beach. Aubrey had grown up in SoCal so she could surf before she could even walk. Even when she went serious with singing, she still kept time for surfing whenever she could. Once she got to the beach, she was relieved to see it wasn't that full. Just a few of the usual surfers and a group of teen girls laying on towels seemingly watching the surfers. Aubrey set her stuff down on her beach towel and ran into the water. The feeling of riding the waves was incomparable. Aubrey really couldn't think of a feeling she enjoyed more than it and it always calmed her. She got out of the water and went to dry herself off. She snapped a picture of her surfboard and opened instagram
