CHAPTER 10

Sarah's POV

Annabeth was the first one to bring up the problem.

We hadn't been riding on the Hippocampi for long. We had been able to go through this kind of tunnel that the hippocampi had made under Disneyland to get to the Ocean.

Soon, Wave slowed down next to us. Annabeth got our attention.

"How are we getting to the east coast by water transportation? It's going to take way too much time. We would have to go down by Mexico and South America to get there. Wait. Where are we now?" she nudged Percy.

"Umm."

"Percy... What does umm mean???!!!"

"Well... The er hippocampi were um I guess going to go the other er way."

"Meaning????"

"... Going west..."

"Across the Pacific Ocean!?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?! Stop!!!"

I guess Percy delivered the message because we halted immediately.

"How could I be so stupid! There's no way to get to the East Coast by water travel this simply! We need to go back to land. Now!" Annabeth seethed.

We sped back the way we had just came from.

We all felt pretty stupid.

After approximately half an hour, the hippocampi pulled up to a coastal beach. We couldn't get too close to the shore so we swam.

Us girls trembling, and Percy dry, we stepped onto the sand.

We walked for awhile until we reached a busy road. We wanted to get to Olympus. The only question was how. When I have questions, I go..

"What's the nearest library?" I asked the taxi man as we filed into the car near Huntington Beach.

"That would be," after pausing to think he replied, "Th Anaheim Public Library."

"That's our destination then."

"It'll take a little over a half an hour drive to get there."

"Thanks."

We settled in. I thankfully got to sit in the front on the account of my easy car sickness. Everyone else squeezed in the back.

Even though I got shotgun for car sickness, I fell asleep so it didn't matter. For some reason, I fell asleep during a half and hour car ride.

And of course I had a dream.
