CHAPTER 3
Say What???!!!!!!!
I awoke a while later and looked around. Where am I?
Wait wait wait. It started to come back to me. But how??? I've been wondering how I could be since last year and now I'm trying to figure out how I am. I'm so confused.
"Ugh..." I looked to my left. Jane was laying in the bed next to me. By the looks of it, she had just woken up too.
"Hey sleepy head."
"Where am I?" she mumbled.
"Um... I think we're in the Big House." I wasn't exactly sure. Things are a little different in real life than in a story.
"Thats correct." a voice behind me said.
"Ahhh!" I screamed. I was easily surprised.
"Chill Sarah! It's just... Woah wait." she saw the half horse part of the man, "Are you Chiron?" Jane asked.
"I am." he replied simply.
"But then who's my dad?" she asked.
"That is still to be determined. You already know about the gods?"
I tried my hardest not to sound like a know-it-all brat who would interrupt every sentence just because she knew the answer.
"Yeah. I've read The Percy Jackson series and well... This place kinda fits in. But... I still have a question."
"Go ahead." he said curiously.
"How am I a demigod? I have a mom AND a dad. Even though I've wished it ever since I heard about the Greek gods I've been wanting to be involved with it, I can't be a demigod. Unlike Jane who's never known her dad, I know my parents. I don't belong here." I explained sadly.
"Well, I don't know why your godly parents haven't claimed you two yet but... I know you are demigods."
Almost, it seemed, to proved Chiron wrong, above Jane's head, a symbol appeared.
"What the...???" Jane looked at the floating lightning bolt over her head. Oh wow. My best friend. A daughter of Zeus. Cool.
"Ahh. A daughter of Zeus. Excellent. You can join our other three Zeus demigod campers." Chiron said happily, his tail swishing back and forth.
"Wow." Jane said obviously stunned "This-"
Then she froze. I looked over at Chiron. He was frozen too. What the heck?
"Sarah..." a woman's voice echoed through the room.
"This is Athena... Your mother."
"Say What????!!!!! How can you be my mom? I have a mortal mother!" I almost screamed at her in confusion.
"Yes, but that is not truly your real mother. Even though she did have you, you are not hers.
"Your father is an amazingly smart man. He has never seen me though. When I saw him, he was already engaged. I decided that I would still bless him with a gift. You.
"I placed you inside your "mother" so she would have you. I wanted you to be different. You are special."
She said her last words and I felt something different occur inside me.
"-is awesome!" Jane said, presently unfrozen.
"OMG. Sarah..?? Look at yourself." She advised.
Curiously, I walked over to the restroom and looked in the mirror.
Oh my gods.
My hair was blonde!!
