I slowly blink as the sun beats down on my wet coat. Green plants surround me like an island, a safe place. I turn my long head around to explore my environment. My head comes to an abrupt stop as my eyes fall on a black figure, "Welcome to the world, Sweetie," it says. Confusion is clearly shown on my face; the blob starts to chuckle thoughtfully. "I am your mother, and you are my son," She says. A light smile overtakes my face as I try to stand up - but failing miserably - landing on my face.

After the painstaking process of trying to stand up on these thin, wobbly sticks, I finally figure out how they work. I can run now, but I still don't know my name. "Mother," I ask inquisitively, "You still haven't told me my name, what is it?" "Your name is still being decided, Son, be patient," She says firmly but tenderly, as she trots over the rest of the blobs. After a few minutes, she starts slowly trotting over, an irremovable smile is plastered on her face "First, Son," She says, "You need to know what you are. You are a horse, and this is our herd, of which you will be with for the rest of your life." The rest of my life? That's a long time, even I know that! I think to myself warily. "And, now for the moment you have been waiting for," Mother says, pausing for effect, "Your name is Victory, Son." "Victory..." I say, rolling it around my tongue, "I like it!"
