I'm sitting on the couch in the library, shaking my head and wondering how the hell my life has come to this, being the consort to the Dark Lord. My life has changed so much. Why the hell did I accept? I have had a crush on the Dark Lord since I was fourteen, and now I finally get to be with him, but not in the way that I want to be. I really need to have my head checked to make sure I haven't gone insane.

"Harry, are you in here?" I hear Draco call from the doors.

I smile and call him over, "Yeah, Dray over here."

Draco walks over silently and then sits next to me on the couch. He takes one look at me and then sighs loudly. "What happened to you? Did auntie Bella best you in today's duel or something?"

"No, I got engaged to the Dark Lord after I beat Bella in today's duel," I tell him and watch with vicious pleasure as his jaw drops and he stares at the bonding ring on my hand.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He asks, while lifting my hand and inspecting the bonding ring.

I chuckle, "No, I am not fucking kidding you. And it's real. He came to the duel and then after dismissing Bella, took me to his office and then asked me to bond with him. I am still not sure if I can wrap my head around it."

"My father won the bet. Such a shame, I really thought Uncle Sev was going to win." Draco mumbles while still staring at my head.

"What bet?"

"Oh, well the Dark Lord came to my father and Uncle Sev to ask them some weird questions in relation to you and bonding. They wouldn't tell me the exact questions or what the conversation really was, just that he was planning to ask you. They both took bets on when he would ask." Draco explains.

I stare at him blankly, "You knew he was going to ask me and never told me?"

"Um, well yes, kind of, maybe." Came the sheepish reply from my blonde friend.

"Ridiculous. You should have told me. He completely caught me off guard with the sudden proposal. I had no idea. As far as I am aware, he is only doing this to stop people from trying to marry their daughters to him, or sons. He has never made any indication to having any feelings for me. And dear lord, I am going to have to explain to Ron and 'Mione when we get back to school. This is going to be a mess."

"Hades, you never know. I can't tell you if our Lord has feelings for you, but I think you should give it a try. Besides, I know you have feelings for him. I might not know what really happened and I'm sure I will never know but maybe you will find what you are looking for in him. Give it a chance Hades, because I'm sure if you don't, then you will regret it for the rest of your life. Also don't worry about those two when we see them again. I am sure it won't be so bad." I smile at Draco after he finishes giving me advice.

"When did you get all philosophical?"

"When you started getting all mopey."

We both glare at each other until a knock interrupts our contest. We both look up to see Tom in the doorway, staring at us with a hint of mirth and something else in his eyes.

"I thought I would escort you to dinner," He explains to me when I raise an eyebrow.

"I will see you later Draco. Thank you for the advice."

I get up and walk over to Tom. He wraps an arm around my waist before nodding to Draco and leading me away from the library to his private quarters. When we enter, Tom guides me to his private dining room, and pulls my chair out for me and then pushes it back in once I sat down. He sits across from me and then a house elf delivers our food to us. We start eating, and by the time I am halfway through my meal, I finally crack. I hate silence.
