Hidden Pain

Sasuke

I rolled over in bed to find Itachi standing my bed. I jumped up causing him to slowly jump back so I didn't hit him, "Why are you in my room?" I asked rubbing my stiff neck. "Came to wake you up. Your later for school." He said which woke me up fairly quickly. Looking at the time on my phone I was surprised to see the time, it was 9:30. Jumping up and running over to my closet to pick out my clothes I pushed passed a very hung over Itachi. Man Sakura must be worried...weird I hadn't gotten any calls or texts from her. My mind began to race quickly as I threw on my clothes, then my phone vibrated.

I smiled Suigetsu's name on the screen. "Hello?"
"Sasuke..." Jugo said, he sounded sad. "Yeah. What's up? Everything ok?" I asked stopping what I was doing, Itachi stared at me but I ignored him. I could vaguely hear Karin in the background. "Shit...I can't hear!" he growled. At this point I was really confused, "Hey Sasuke..." Karin said.
"What's going on with Jugo? Is he still depressed and suicidal?" I asked. "No...well yes but for a different reason."

"Karin what's going on?" I asked. She was silent then she started to sob, "Sasuke...its Suigetsu. He's dead." I shook my head knowing that was no way I had heard her right. "Ha funny Karin now put him on." I growled, I hated them playing games with me. She continued to cry, "Its true Sasuke." came Jugo's voice.
Sitting hard on my bed I couldn't believe it, "How?" I choked out. Itachi was now giving me a questioning look, "He was in a really bad car wreck on the way to school." he said, "He was put on life support but..." He started.

"But what?" I asked. Dealing with a friends death was almost more then I could stand. "But then his parents showed up and told the doctors to take him off it, they said they didn't want him to suffer." My anger raged, I learned about Suigetsu's parents when we became friends. They were never there for him, all they wanted to do was go out and party and do drugs while he stayed at home with his older brother Kisame and younger sister Kiola. "Those bastards." I growled.

"Sasuke...we could really use you here man." Jugo said.
"Right of course ill be there. I may be bringing someone with me, but ill be there tomorrow sometime." I said. "Thanks man. I've got to go...Karin has lost it and I have to figure out the funeral arrangements with Kisame. God its not right to see one of your friends die like this..." He said, from the hurt in his voice I knew he was in tears to. "It'll be ok Jugo. Keep everyone sane until I get there."
"Right. Please hurry." Then he hung up leaving me to sit there. "Sasuke...everything ok?" Itachi asked.
Looking up at him I sighed, "No. I have to talk to Sakura immediately." I said getting up and headed down stairs, hopefully she would go with me.

Sakura pov

I sat watching the clock desperately waiting for the bell to ring signaling the end of class. "Hey Sakura...Where's Sasuke? Did you two have a fight or something?" Tenten asked.
I shook my head, "No. I guess he needed to sleep in." in truth I was worried that maybe something had happened to him but my phone ended up breaking so I had no way to figure out if he was ok, so I would ask Ino to use her phone so id be able to check on him. "Hmm...Hope he's ok." Hinata softly spoke.
"Eh, the dude seems capable enough to be able to handle anything. I'm sure he's perfectly fine." he said.

"Is your boyfriend not here today?" Came Gaara's stoic voice from beside me. Shuddering I turned to see him in the seat beside me, his light blue eyes stared at me. "Dude. Turn your creep factor down to zero please." Kiba groaned. Gaara glared at him then slowly his eyes drifted back to my own, "No Gaara. Sasuke isn't here. Why do you care?" I asked in a more harsh tone then I intended. 'Tell him like it is! Why the hell is this guy talking to us now?' my inner questioned. I agreed, "Would you like to have lunch with me today?" He asked. "Umm let me just cut in right there. Sorry but Sakura has us to have lunch with." Tenten said, I silently sent her a look that said thank you.
