Ready for the trip

Sasuke

"Alright, Sakura I'll drop you and Ino off at your house then ill take Shikamaru to his so he can pack. Once we're done we'll come back pick you both up and stop at Ino's on the way." I said looking over at the pink haired beauty in the passenger seat. She smiled and nodded, "Great Sakura and I need a little girl to girl time." Ino said from the back seat. Pulling up outside Sakura's house I was about to turn the car off when she kissed my cheek, "Hurry back babe." Then she and Ino both jumped out and went inside. Staring off after her Shikamaru cleared his throat, "I'm not trying to be troublesome but can we go?" he asked. Nodding I sped off letting him lead me to his house. Once outside his brick house he got out, "You may want to come in. No ones home and it beats just sitting out here alone."
"Right." I said getting out and following him inside.

His house was huge. "Wow. Nice house." I said following him up the stairs to his room. He walked in and slowly found a suitcase and began filling it, "So who's funeral is it?" I was surprised at his question, "My friend Suigetsu. He was in a car wreck." I replied sitting in the recliner that was in the corner of the room. He stopped packing and sat on his bed, rubbing the back of his neck he gave me an embarrassed sigh, "Look I'm not good at this type of stuff. But during our freshmen year there was a bad car wreck here. Our friends, Choji and Shino died in the crash. So I get how you feel and If you need anyone to....talk to ill always listen. No matter how troublesome." he said. Giving him a smirk I nodded, he stood and finished his packing. "Tell me more about Choji and Shino." I said while waiting for him.
"I was Choji's first and bestfriend. He was always judged for his weight until we became friends. I didn't know Shino all to well he was definitely quiet but he was a good guy." He stared down at the floor deep in thought.

"Sometimes I question why exactly they had to die. Especially that way." I could relate, I still haven't fully grasped that Suigetsu was really gone. "You know it was ten minutes before the crash when Choji asked if I wanted a ride...but I had to stay home that day since I was sick. I still sit and wonder if I wasn't sick that day then would I even be here." his tone held a sadness that was all to familiar to me. A tear slowly streaked down his cheek, quickly wiping it away he gave a laugh, "It was only after that, that Ino and I started to grow closer, everyday I see her makes me happy, I'm starting to think I like her. And I can tell that Sakura really likes you a lot and I see it in your eyes you like her to. Please don't hurt my friend." He said staring right at me, "I won't." I reassured him, "Ok. Good, now lets go pick them up before they have time to plan our downfall." He said smiling. Walking back out to the car I for once felt like everything was going to be ok.

Sakura

"Yes misses Haruno, ill make sure she and Sasuke stay separated." Ino said to my mom as I walked to my room to pack some stuff. She came walking in, "So, we're just going to miss like what the rest of the week of school?" Ino asked.
"Don't worry mom will take care of that. Now please help me pick out my clothes." I said while throwing a sleek little black dress into my suitcase.

"Well when we get to my house ill pack you a couple extra thongs with matching bras to show to Sasuke." she said giggling at the blush now evident on my cheeks. "I...no I won't need any of those. Sasuke and I are taking it slow and any way you and I will be sharing a room." I replied while grabbing my favorite band shirt which of course was Icon for hire, kidding I love them but they aren't my favorite.

"You still have that ratty old thing?" Ino asked sticking her tounge out in disgust. "Yes. I love this shirt."
"Whatever just get packed. We still have to go to my house." She said walking out. After packing everything up and grabbing a pair of sunglasses I walked outside to where Sasuke and Shikamaru had just pulled up. Sasuke got out and helped me with my bag, "What ya boys talk about?" Ino questioned.
"Why do you care. Its all a drag." Shikamaru replied. "You need new catchphrases." She said. Sasuke's hand slipped over and touched mine, we drove toward Ino's house with her talking the entire time, and boy where the subjects awkward.
"Did you guys have a peeing contest? Is that why you won't tell me?" Ino whined to Shikamaru.
"Ugh women. Sit down and shut up until we get to your house." he said. We all were silent for a moment until Ino said, "Oh I love it when your in charge." I giggled at how obvious it was that they liked each other, it got me thinking of Sasuke and me.
