Across the long green land
Stretched a weary man's hand.
His sweat, bore fruit
And echoed the victory fluteAnd through vines of gold
Hung a fruit so bold
Yellow and green
I watched, oh so keenThe small berry illuminating
Among the ripe ones dominating.
It's graceful twine
Spiraling beyond confineHeaven's bitter gift
Brought sweetness adrift
To the midst of truly sweet men
With bitterness filling his denThe gentle embrace of leaves
And emerged from the cleaves,
A beautiful round beauty
A magnificence is she, truly.The Orchard of gooseberries
Seeing thee makes heart merryRhyme scheme: aabb
